Maybe you could explain what is tilt?
To immediately handle tilt, I would recommend getting up from the game and taking a 5-10 walk, get some water and rationalize what happened. If it was a bad beat just remember you are playing as best as you can and you can not control the cards. If it was a bad play on your part then realize it, accept it and decide to improve your game to avoid future mistakes.
Another helpful strategy that works is to do some deep breathing... I know this sounds corny to some but it works. You can even do this at the table and nobody will even know you are taking a mental timeout. Eyes open or closed, breath in for a count of 7 hold for a count of 5 and breath out for a count of 11, repeat 3 times and you will feel your nerves relax.
To work on tilt with more of a long term approach I always advise people to pickup Jared Tendlers The Mental Game of Poker Vol 1 & 2. These books break down Many Many causes of tilt and how to handle them so that they don't affect your game and even more your life. Good Luck and keep at it!
