I've discovered a leak in my game in tournaments. Whenever I find myself at a table with one and only one aggressor I go nuts. Especially when that person has position on me. I'm usually ok for about 30 minutes or so but when I see everyone laying down to his raises and see him calling shoves with ace rag or pocket 5's and winning I start to get really antsy.
After about an hour of folding marginal hands that I normally would small ball because I know the raise is coming I start to want to shove those chips in.

Anyone else here experience this? If so how do you deal with it?

You are going the right way with the small balling. How i deal with a aggressor:

1. I only play Strong to premium hands
2. if there a raise on the pre-flop just smooth call it
3. When you hit your pair make sure that you have the nuts; this will not work if you are not sure
4. If you bet and he raises there two things you can do
a. re-raise him and if he re-raises, re-raise again
b. Just call , then give him enough rope to hang himself with at after the river

I appreciate the feedback.
I should probably sticky those notes to the screen. I know them and mostly follow them but when I get in the situation I described I find it hard to sit and wait for a premium hand.
I'm unable to small ball because of the the raise factor and I hate seeing the blinds go up for an hour and not be mixing it up.

Tonto could help LMFAO!!! Brings me back...lol

But back to OP

Bel, I have the same problem. The aggressor... I agree with DOT, and I understand your problem with watching your chips be blinded away. But, depending on starting stack, you dont really have a choice - its either shove or fold. If you have a series of bad pockets, which I seem to have much too often in that position...lol, some times the writing is on the wall, and u need to decide while you still have a healthy stack whether or not to push, its a coin toss. Is your BI micro to small? Then the chance is hes just a donk raising anything (and seeing the success) and you may be able to push him out/beat him at showdown if necessary with shoves on marginal hands. Risky, but no action can be more costly than risky action. Is he just getting a run of nuts? Wait him out and hope one of u is moved or accept the situation. I find that most cases of an ATC raiser is he is normally bullying, and eventually u will need to shove or go home. But one shove is often all it takes to cool him off, as far as your play is concerned. If no good hands come, and you get too SS then your in trouble anyway, so myself, I try to shove while I have a stack that deserves respect, and hope 4 the best, of course ideally with a hand that has draw possibilities.
