I've been playing very well online and now I want to try to play in a casino.
It seems like it is a lot more fun to play, talk and find tells than it is to stare at a computer screen for several hours.

There is only one problem and I hope there are some experienced live cash game players around here. How can you ever keep track of the VPIP/PFR of your opponents? I think I can remember a lot, but at a 9-handed table it just seems impossible to keep track of all those players. I think I will already have trouble with keeping track of 1-2 players.

Yeah, you would have to be a savant - but you are on the right track - pick a couple players at a time to focus on - get a general feel of what their numbers might be then move on to another couple of guys.

Focus on the ones directing affecting you and how they respond to situations. Even though my HUD became a good friend online, I never thought in such terms live and basically found myself quickly categorizing players. "He raises a lot", "she only plays 1 in every 20 hands", he 3-bets every button", etc

Realize that pressure will come from your right and you will apply pressure to the left. Make 2 players to each side the primary focus but realize there is no need to get as exact as "he has a VPIP of 18 because he has played 9 of the last 50 non-blind hands and a pfr of 4 because he only raised 2 of them" ... to know that he is about a 20 (loose) is good enough. It is more beneficial to know if he is loose weak and play him accordingly.

I have seen people taking notes at live games.

Okay, I'll try to keep track of some players and slowly expand it.
I will basically categorize them and not focus to much on accurate percentages/numbers.

Thanks for all the advice and I hope it works out for me.

if you play 2 hours, you know who is loose and who is tight.
