Dealing with being card dead
Hey guys, had a quick question for you. The last three months I've been playing texas
hold'em with a group of 6-7 other friends. I come across a decent starting hand perhaps twice in an hour. I try to play tight as many of the other guys are sharks and super aggressive. What in the world do you do when you keep being dealt unsuited 2 and 7's.. 3 and 8's .. 2's and 8's .. J's and 4's, 4's and 9's, K's and 2's .. Q's and 4's and Q's and 2's.. lol. I'm not exaggerating here, this is exactly what I keep putting up with. If I keep playing tight and folding these I keep losing blinds. Everytime I tried playing the the flop I got overcards and get torn a new one by others with very decent starting hands. If I bluff regardless of how convincingly I get called on it and again I lose.
I've read a few of Dan harringtons books and I'm pretty sure my bet sizing, bluffing convincingly and calculating pot odds
etc arent the problem. Its the crap hands I have no strategy of dealing with.
