Hi Everyone,

I'm just wondering how common it is to use dead blinds in cash games? Is it more common than not? Also, does this get used for Texas Holdem, Omaha High and Omaha Hi/Lo? Do they get used for tournament games, too?

Thanks for your help.

Stoush.

It's really standard. You pay for the seat, whether you're playing or not.

In tournaments your blind gets posted when it's your turn, regardless of whether you're sitting out or not.

Depends on how the game is ran. Some games you will automatically get put in from the blind from the dealer if your there or not there unless you say "deal me out." casinos and other games that follow the rules tight, if your not there for the blind you either to have to wait a round or buy the button.

Tournaments should always have players post there small blind and big blind whether they are there or not.
