I think it was just one of those hands where you weren't going to get rid of him.
He hit second pair and a flush draw on the flop.

You checked when you hit the straight on the turn, he hit two pair and still had a flush draw.
You checking allowed him to take control of the pot and he probably thought he had you or you missed.

The nine was just a bonus for him and he was committed to seeing the river and it saved his butt.

I know many times the tendency is to trap when hitting your hand
but you had to know there was a flush draw out there.
Why let him see a free card by checking?

The second hand was another case of the 'river' messing with you.
He was on the table during the previous hand and maybe he thought you were on tilt.

I don't think you did anything wrong, except for the check when you hit the straight.
Your hands just didn't hold up.

Better luck next time, shake them off and get back to the tables

Don't BI 30BB deep, it's horrible and you won't play hands like KT profitably.

Thank God
Finally we agree on something. Doesn't that scare you?;)

Say blinds are 2000

I have 18,000 chips thus less than 12 BB
p1 has 2,000 chips
p2 has 3,000 chips
p3 has 4,000 chips
p4 has 6,000 chips
p5 has 2,000 chips
p6 has 2,000 chips
p7 has 50,0000 chips

You are saying thus I have less than 10 bb left to shove against player with 50,000 chips. While every one else folds Ridiculous Pure Ridiculous

Cali I've told you I'm not discussing how you played the 77 hand anymore as you just don't get it and it has absolutely no relevance to this thread.

I'm wondering where you've got that I said it is fine from and thus keep copying and pasting that crap. If it was same villian as in your other hand who is opening 100% and you have a decent pocket pair then it's correct, alot more correct than flatting.

Okay I won't irritate you any more.
I'm just glad we agree that smokeme should have tossed his K 10 after being raised on the flop:)

Fold pre imo

That is even more my style. Try waiting for a hand. Poker is about fold, fold, fold, steal in position, fold fold fold fold fold fold fold fold fold fold fold fold.
It is pretty boring really. And if its not boring you are doing something wrong

Don't raise from sb with KTos. You're usually in trouble against any hand that'll call you and you'll be OOP.

Crank up the aggression when you have position. Don't be pushing the envelop when you're out of position and have an easily dominated hand.

IMO it's fine to raise it up from SB once in a while without a premium hand just to throw ppl off, but there's no reason to build a big pot if you get called.

Weak hands small pot, big hands big pot.
