For anyone who is wondering how he got this free session - he won it by taking down 1st place in the finals match for the Cardschat League.

OK

Well we chatted for a while about my poker experience ect Then Colin uploaded Team Viewer and went through every hand I played in 2 Tourneys where I'd run deep and comented on my moves and also asked my thinking behind each bet fold raise etc.

He has a great programme that he uploads hand histories into and it plays the game exactly like you were in poker stars very impressed!

Anyway he says I should C-Bet more .. a leak in my game is I Raise pre then just check the flop if I miss, he says I should C-Bet more. He also advises I cosider my bet sizing I tend to just hit the pot button on FT rather than making a 2/3 or 3/4 pot size bet. That way if I'm re raised and have to get out I don't loose as much and if I have the best hand it doesn't put off the chasers. He said I played my position well and had a good idea of pot odds.

I guess the session was geared towards my leaks so it may not be of use to any of you guys. Theres no secrets you just got to keep grinding and learning and inplementing what we learn.

I recorded the call (lasted just over an hour ) on mp3 if anyone wants to hear it shoot my a pm with your e-mail and i'll send it to you, but as i say its geared towards me also its not alot of use if you cant see the hands !

We ended with some light chit chat and Colin asked if I had any questions, he asked me to keep in touch ( which I will, I have his e-mail and Skype addy) Colin asked about CC and also expressed an interest in joining one of our games... we'll see!

Lessons learned

1. C-Bet More
2. Consider bet size

Thanks to Debi and everyone at CC that made this happen, I really appreciate it and plan to implement Colin's Suggestions and improve my game

I think you should give us his email and then all send spam to him hehe. Sounds like a good experience. You must have plugged a few minor leaks in your game.

I got Collins book and loaned it to my brother, who is a SNG maniac, and now he won't give it back... keeps it by his bedside...

Congrats.

Thanks for the nice words everyone. The session with Silverfox was a lot of fun, he played very well in the games we reviewed and I really enjoyed getting the chance to work with him. He even taught me a few tricks about light value shoving in the 90-mans!

Now I just have to figure out how to join the league :)

Wow........
Welcome to CC Collin. Through this forum, I learned of your books, and through them, learned much better play. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, and thanks for taking time to stop by! My copy of SnG strategy is worn and dog-eared and I will re-read it yet again.........

I believe it takes '25 quality posts' ( https://www.cardschat.com/forum/sil...0/restricted-passwords-important-note-107668/ )

Apparently there are 'no' exceptions, even if you're terminally ill with 2days to live.
