I was thinking of joining a coaching site and wanted to know which ones you guys recommend and why?

I play FR micro cash games.

Am I right in thinking that from a lot of these sites you can download the videos and watch whenever even after your subscription has expired?

The online training videos I see tend to be pretty dry so am interested in your thoughts.

No, you can only watch the videos when you have an active subscription. Downloaded materials require verification before they'll load.

There are a couple of instructors from Drag the Bar on this site, so you might look into that one. I've been a member of CardRunners for a couple of years and have been happy with it.

Training site membership is definitely worthwhile.

There is already a lot of stuff here at CC from Drag the bar. So far I enjoy there company and think that you should look at some of the threads all over CC.

Training videos are not always going to be fun and exciting. There is only so much one can do in order to make a "learning" video watching cards on a table fun and exciting, without random explosions lol.

Anyways, maybe you should try and find something that meets your needs, do some research, and see what happens. GL.

Hi pokerman. I'm a coach at dragthebar.com. I have a 9-part series dedicated to micro-FR play there, and we have quite a bit of other material on that genre. We also have another coach coming on board very soon who just obliterates the micros. Dragthebar has a 7-day free trial, so come on over and check out my pokerstars Micro FR series and see what you think.

Later,

QTip

How many points you getting a month at FTP? Cardrunners offers free subscriptions for players at FTP through http://www.trulyfreepokertraining.com.

I am also a recent paying member at DTB and Qtip's videos are very much worth watching.

http://www.trulyfreepokertraining.com seems to be down at the moment. I seem to remember an email about a server upgrade so that could be the culprit.

Also, don't miss out on dtb's offers too. Actually, their offer at black chip poker is unrivaled. You can get a free month for like $250 MGR, which I think is like half of what I've seen anywhere else. Also, you can stack the months. I swear someone could grind there, get 13 years of memberships in a couple months, and then sell the dtb month memberships to other people. The gift a month feature at dtb would allow someone to do that. It's a pretty cool idea imo.

Wow...it's better than I thought.

"In addition to rakeback, DTB members will receive their first free month's subscription on DragTheBar.com on their first $1 in rake and an additional month for every $200 in mgr they generate each month.

For example: If you rake $450 in your first month you will receive 3 months membership on DragTheBar! This is the best way to not only receive rakeback, but never pay membership fees again!"

I've heard it's been getting better and better. There was some recent merge that increased traffic. I can't remember the details tho.
