Kind of a big file, we recorded it in a little too good quality.

Post feedback and hand discussion here if ya please.

Excellent video chaps (though not enough swearing)

Great range of hands and some really insightful chat, probably more coherent than it sounded to you while making it.

Very interested in the stat usage and changing up my HUD as result.

Both clearly a mile or two ahead of me in thinking but I was pleased to find that although my thought processes were not as sophisticated, that nothing was completely alien to me.

Of particular interest was the two pair hand w/ 89 89x board @ 50 mins.

I found the reraise slightly surprising given the deepstacks, so found the subsequent discussion very interesting.

You didn't specifically answer the question whether you would call a shove or not, though I got the sense that Chuck would call quicker than FP.

Also the 3 bet AJ v A5 hand I would have probably let the river go (on a good day) as his bet felt too big to be behind given his range, though I may be being results focussed there.

tytytytyty more please.

You guys are very welcome, glad you liked it. I'm sure FP is down for at least one more of these and I'm certainly down, so hopefully you guys will be seeing more (and in smaller file size) in the future.

Stat explanation:

(hand sample) VPIP / PFR / AF
3bet% fold-to-3b%. 4-bet-range, fold-to-4bet%
donkbet% c-bet% fold-to-cbet% raise-c-bet%
WTSD bet-river%
Attempt to steal Fold-sb-to-steal fold-bb-to-steal limp-call squeeze

We got so lucky to get so many interesting situations in over just these... what 170 hands? Glad it was more coherent than I thought. I haven't watched it myself yet :)

And some other comments:

The 98-hand is interesting and could do with some analysis. Like I said in the video (or think I did, anyway) it's quite possible that the bet/3bet is the way to go, but I scolded myself mostly for not looking at stack sizes before I did it. Making the right decision for the wrong reason is not a great outcome.

With the AJ hand, I agree that it's a clear fold. Two things influenced me into calling, and the first was that he snap-bet (or I thought he did) and he's a fish. I generally don't like folding top pair versus fish in 3-bet pots. Secondly, the fact that he snap bet made me think that he had made that decision already on the turn and I felt that I was ahead of that range.

But after thinking about it more combinatorically, it's difficult to find a range for him that I have 33%+ equity versus.

I remember a really bad month put that series in the back seat for me, and I completely forgot about continuing it. Not sure when/if I will.

By the way, I want to point out that this is not actually my HUD setup. I used a "large" setup that I created once in order to show the numbers better and it doesn't include all the stats that I actually use. I whine at some point in the video about how I wished I had the fold-to-double-barrel frequency in there for instance, but didn't. With the ridiculous video quality that I recorded it in, I could have just used my normal HUD I realize :)

We'll go for slightly lower quality next time though and I think it helps being able to read the numbers properly; I'll just have to update my LargeHUD configuration in HEM to include all the stuff I use.

Awesome job guys! I learned a bit. I just started using HEM so seeing how you guys put those stats to use in real-time was extremely helpful.

Look forward to more!

Watching the video myself here, I'm noticing a few things:

1. The AJ hand: He didn't actually snap-bet the river. I must have been looking at the other table and missed the time between when the river was dealt and he bet, because to me it looked like there was no time at all between the actions. Important reminder that timing tells can be imaginary.

2. I was wrong about shoving with 99+ in that squeeze situation. Not in principal, but versus that tight of a squeezing range. Versus someone with a wide range when squeezing though, it's a no-brainer. You have some people who just can't help themselves and will squeeze with 20% of their range - and with them you HAVE to shove there. When their sq% creeps down below 10%, it starts to get more difficult and a little dependent on what their range for calling a shove is, but 5% (as was the case here) is just too low to show a profit with anything but a premium hand.

Good stuff guys. Not much to add in terms of analysis. A couple hands I'd play slightly differently but nothing major really. Keep up the good work.
