Chopping, unless there is a different definition than what i know, means you tie hands with someone else and split the pot....is there a different definition to this that I dont know about?

you can make a deal at the end of a MTT which is also called a chop. Usually made when it is down to 3 or 4 people and there are a few different ways of finding out who gets what in terms of splitting the money up.

Chooping can be good if you feel like your opponents are better players than you or maybe if you have had no experience with short handed play. (This is why it is good for MTT players to brush up on their sit n go skills). If you feel like you can outplay your opponents, chopping is never a good idea as you will never get as much from chopping as you would from winning.
