If i have a $30 bankroll would it be better to spend it on entering 30 tournaments with a $1 buy in or would it be better to maybe enter 4 tournaments with a $7.50 buy in. If i go for the 1$ option I will have more chances to win but it will be against bigger fields and a lot more kamikaze type players. The 7.50$ option gives me fewer chances to play but there will be smaller fields and it will probably me a more normal game with fewer fish. Curious as to what would be the most profitable.
no one can win all the time. My stats i looked at from 6 years ago had me ranked at highest at 95 % winning and lowest was like 47% when i played at that time i usually played 8-10 tournaments a day and came out winning some money almost every day. That is rough to play at that level is easier to play grind dollars in another arena like smaller stake ring play etc..
Tournaments are a numbers game you have to do the equation of what works for you. I will say imho its more important to be comfortable to believe you will win etc... then to try to push way into a place your not ready. If you win at 7.50 by all means play 7.50 lol that is the easiest answer the bigger the reward the better off you are but you have to choose a level that works for you whether is freeroll 50 cents or 200 dollar buy ins.
I have played all fields im most comfortable in playing for guarantee overpaid amounts less than 200 players that pay up to 1000 dollars. I can play the 15,000 people events and have done well in that but to dedicate a whole day? To win occassionally? not optimal for me. I prefer ring rake games in 25/50 cent range and buy ins under 5.00 for now but im working on building a bankroll. I dont mind
freerolls at 2000 people if pay is 50 dollars for first but will even play 10 dollar freerolls if feel game is needing practice etc..
with me i try to play four games at once so if play 5-8 hours i should win a bit and im happy. Right now im not pushing for anything any goals or plan just love playing etc..
All of those things i just mentioned should be factored into your choice of what you want to play for etc..
hope helps a bit
