Would anybody like to offer advice? I need help lol. I won a 50 cent tourney for a $30 coupon, and then played that coupon on the 1st on a double-up table and busted in about 7 hands (short staked after a 45% BB on hand 3). That is the big up and down in there.

I'm also looking into poker training sites, even maybe a coach. My favorite so far is Advanced Poker Training. I like the hands-on approach. I can read all day, but I find it a bit challenging to play out scenarios in my head. I actually have to get out a deck of cards and set up a board and put two cards in the hole to get an idea of possible moves I'd make.

This is also an invitation if anyone wants to play a heads up tourney on Carbon then nit pick at each others plays after the game.

From this sample size it's very very difficult to draw any conclusions. Truly any conclusions at all.

My advise would be to play more (read that as in 50K to 100K or more hands) if possible so stats start to at least take some shape of meaning.

If you are convinced on taking the pupil route, that is not a bad choice. It may stop some bad habits before they grab root in your game. There are many others here that can help offer places for that.

But if your br can sustain, I believe in playing. So much of your poker education will be time on the felt. A teacher could easily speed that along though. Just weigh out the cost of teacher vs possible drop ion br over time.

Cheers,
