Hi everyone!

I was wondering many times why and when did I start to play freerolls. I cannot specify but I can answer why. I wanted to start building my bankroll. Ooooo !!! The 10$ elementary league freeroll.:) I'm playing freerolls for recreational purpose. Freerolls can generate big wins. Not only this 10 $ pokerschool poker stars freeroll but cumulate with others can bring you valuable points in the monthly leaderboard.

Must be patient with freerolls. It can bring you great benefits.

You are not alone in freerolls. I also prefer to go to freerolls. But I'm still trying to get tickets to big poker rooms. Recently I received very good tickets for the promotions to the tournament. I won first place and got a good prize.

Freeroll is very good for recreational player. If you won, you enjoyed and money. If you did not get into the prizes - you still played and did not lose anything. ;)

Also prefer freerolls. I have too small bankroll to play money tournaments so freerolls are for me.

I love freerolls, I believe its a great source for players that are serious about building a bankroll from scratch.

I play in them because of the chance to compete for cash I wouldn't necessarily get the opportunitity.

I agree. I enjoy playing in freerolls when I am able to. They're great for practicing techniques and finding out which positions where they fit into your gameplay style.

Yes, freerolls - this is a good opportunity to earn or increase your bankroll, but do not forget that the game in a freeroll is fundamentally different from playing in tournaments with buy-in.

I've put maybe $60 into Stars in $20 chunks over the last maybe 3 years or so and 3 times I've ended up back at zero. I was only playing 2plo and 2nlhe so it would take a while, so I could basically make $20 last 8 or 9 months.

Don't really want to buy another $20 but I still want to play, so freerolls give me a chance to still play once or twice a day and also the chance to get some real money on stars again.

Have any of you guys ever cashed? It seems hard because everyone is just spewing shit at the start but if you get lucky a few times Im sure stuff tightens up.

I also just don't really know how to play tourneys but should I look into it to have a chance at these freerolls? Or should I just hope to get lucky.

If people are playing any two cards like that at the beginning with everyone going in, its best to hang on the sidelines unless you have a very strong hand and can thin the field, but even pocket aces against multiple opponents is likely to lose.

You may also want to try a different site with softer games. You may need to build your skill level before playing where a larger number of solid players tend to hang out.

too many restrictions for me at 888 freerolls. I deposited and didn't receive the ticket for 1000$ depositors.

I am playing them on a regular basis and it's always fun...sometimes a bit weird but always fun:D
Playing them if you need money would be frustrating I must say because the people play every garbage but if you are just looking for entertainment and a bit practice it is the right thing.

I play freerolls because I live in USA. Uncle took the big websites away so we can't play on stars and are now getting a handful of small sites to play on. I am not however going to transfer money from my account to an off shore gambling site. I don't think uncle will do anything. But I'm not chancing it over wining $10s of dollars. Uncle only goes after big fish.

New tournaments from the poker school are the best in the last few years! There really can make an excellent bank! These tournaments are really close to tournaments for money! These tournaments are really worth playing and playing quality! Good luck to you!

Freerolls are very easy to play but you do need a decent portion of luck with preflop all ins to win those, since that is where like 80% of all your chips are going to come from. In a normal tournament there is a lot more postflop play; the simple truth is that if you don't get a hand, you're going to blind out .

I rarely get to enter prizes, but the more you play the better. The experience is very noticeable.

Playing Freerolls

I like playing free rolls because of the reduced pressure and commitment. If something comes up I can walk with no remorse. It's good to remember that a free roll is just that and you are playing against and with non invested players.

Best of Luck!
