certain odds for starting hands

Does any one have a method they use when getting into a pot? Is there certain hand you will play if you have chips that you wont play when your short stacked? me yes example ill play suited connectors 8-9dd with chips but usally lay it down short stacked unless 3+ players in the pot. middle pocket pairs? early position? late pos? my prob is do I raise limp I think there got to a guide or book that goes over this. thanks for reading.

You can use poker odds programs for this..you simply put in your hand and all the other details like who is is the hand and what comes out on the board and it will give you your odds for each part.
