So which one is more important to protect your big blind?
Cash games or tournament?

I'd say tournaments cause the blinds go up so in the late stages of tournaments it's probably more important since the blinds get so big that not defending your big blind means you're giving away alot of chips for free essentially.

Always remember that blinds are stagnant in cash games and they go up in tournaments. Also protecting your blinds in cash games may just be burning your own money. IMO less people try and steal blinds in cash games.

A blind will go up a tournament.

So the one of a tournament is important to that.

Tourney especially in the deep stage when blinds are big enough. In cash games it is not so important because blinds are not change.
