I have a question that is bothering me for a while. It is for old players.
U all started at microstakes. I want to know how u builded your bankrolls. Cash tables. 6 , 10? SG? MTT?

I ask because feels like hell building your bankroll at microstakes. 50 dollars in 2 mounths on one account. Sometimes i make 3-4 dollars a week, sometimes 10, sometimes i take some bad beats and fall down.

I ask because i wanna know if i am on the right path. It is this hard to grow? I know that Criss Fergusson made 100 dollars from scrap in 9 mounths but i do not think he played micrsotakes day by day. I wanna know how much it takes to get to 250$ bankroll so i can play at 5c/10c where probabely i will stay a couple of years.

Pls some ppl that took it from zero tell me the storry of their bankrolls cose it will be interesting and i know a lot of beginners like me will have something to learn from them.
Other than the game the storry of the bankrolls are the most important thing.

Pls an admin change the title to "The storry of the bankrool" or somethineg like that.

What type of game do you enjoy most? You can build your roll playing MTT, SNG, ring or a mix, so you might as well play what you enjoy and what best fits your personality.

And count your time in hours played. If you use a longer period such as months, it can be very inaccurate. For example, if you win $10 in a week, it's very different if you played 3 hours vs if you played 50 hours.

Also, the best way to win money is simply to be better than your opponents. That means it's more profitable to improve your game than to try to find the type of game where your edge is slightly better.

I look at where I can get the maximum value for the money I invest. Which to me is a STT 9max. Where if you was to take it down you could win as much as 3x what you bought in for subtracting your buyin. If you lose it could be less than 100bb on a micro cash table depending on what you buy in for. It's not a bad investment it would run about an hour to take it down and it can also save your bankroll if you were to go on tilt as you would not be able to rebuy. Its a grind and if you take it slow its worth it. Good luck on which way you decide to go.

I suggest you try grinding it out on a STT. Read the post above as to why.

If you are making 25 dollars a month as 1c/2c I would say you are on the right track. You may like to consider experimenting with 2c/5c when you get you bankroll above $100, but be prepared to move back down.

You also need to make sure you are making the most of rakeback and bonuses. I am currently playing 2c/5c at FTP, and this month expect to get a $10 loyalty bonus and $25 take 2 bonus. This can represent a huge proportion of your return.

Never read your post untill now and i can say u are great man ad u gave me lots of hopes. As i saw on your graph u had the same struggle at the begining as i have so is not just me living hell at microstakes.

And also i can say u are a verry good player since after u steped up u played better and better.

Also i see it took you more than half of year to cross the 500$ line so i am full of hopes..

I play fixed limit, I started at .02/.04, and quickly moved up to .10/.20, playing about 5-8k hands at each limit. I then moved on to .25/.50, where I have played 50k hands, earning $300 with rakeback (plus $400+ with deposit bonus) at .25/.50. It was tough going when, as you said, you are only earning 3-4 dollars a week, but if you take the time to improve, you can get to the .25/.50 or .50/1 where you can start to make some legit money with rakeback. It is a long process, but definitely a worthwhile one and the learning experience is invaluable.

I assume you are talking about NL, which I can't really speak to, but for fixed limit, I deposited only $75, and got up to $200 in 1 month at .25/.50 (running hot). I then deposited (and quickly withdrew, FT has no withdrawal restrictions) $400 for deposit bonus. Now my bankroll is over $800, with only $75 of that being kept in there from my first deposit. This was done in January, and it is now only 4 months later, all at the .25/.50 Fixed Limit games, around 10 hours a week, so this is definitely possible. To move up quickly, I suggest a poker coach and lots of reading and studying by you.
