Probably a self-explanatory question, but I'll elaborate anyway.

Basically, where do you show your biggest profits when playing cash games? When I'm running well, my showdown profits are really good and when I'm running bad my showdown profits are bad. That's to be expected I guess.

But my redline (Pre-showdown gain/loss) is TERRIBLE. I was shocked to see how bad it was, it's stunning.

So when you're grinding cash games successfully, where do you show the most profit? Hitting big hands and winning on showdowns or aggressive play getting pots taken down without a showdown?

Wow.

That's like the exact opposite of my graph. Amazing. I think I might just be too timid in my play. =O If I don't have something big, I'm not betting it seems.

And the only thing that matters is the green line. Just 2 different ways of accomplishing the same thing.

Fwiw I think I'm too aggressive with my play. I really need to learn to occasionally give up on a pot instead of bet/bet/betting my stack away.

2nl and 5nl would eat you alive. lolz.

Myth that most players at that lower levels don't fold imo. People at that level might not fold to 1 or 2 bets but they often fold when they're entire stack is threatened when you shove the river (and I'm talking when you go bet/bet/bet with the last bet being basically pot sized). I mean there are certainly more people who will call down with 3rd pair and you need to identify them and bet only for value, but there are also plenty who will put in way too much money before folding the river.

I don't have a meaningful sample of any level below 25nl but my 25nl graph looks much nicer than what's posted above because both my NSD and SD winnings were positive. I think that I would have similar results at lower levels but maybe you're right and I'd be surprised to find it completely different?

Ya, I was basically joking. The "lolz" was for my comment, not yers.

It is true there are super nits at these levels and to assume you cant push anybody off a hand is ridicuous. They will adjust badly tho and if your being too agro they will play back at you in really weird ways like calling you down with AT with no pair no draw, even on the river when they still have air instead of 3 betting you preflop.

I'm pretty sure if you(WVH) were to play 2nl or 5nl you'd properly adjust(then poke your eyes out) and beat it which is what separates the good players from the bad.

I hunt deepstacks. Against small stacks I win more pots without showdown, then when I get a deepstack with a big hand I try to hit a bigger hand and play for stacks. They get caught up in making pot appropriate bets, and are generally easy to read and bully.

They fold to textbook check/raises and call/bets with unimproved high cards, and are willing to stack off with their overpair, when I hit something big...

I make my money live, as I suck online, badly... So I don't have the exact stats, but both of the numbers are important to me.

Nice graphs

Nice graphs but in the end thats all they are is just graphs.Playing cards is something that should not be taken lightly.Playing for money is something serious. The better the graph is the better the result is I guess.Nice graphs by the way.The end result should bring about a greater return.

Do you have a point or are you just typing random words hoping something coherent comes out???

If it's number 2, keep trying.
