Cash Games!! HELP!!

I'm really trouble at the moment with cash games... I believe i can make more playing cash then MTT/SNG which was all i did play until i had a break from poker for a while.

I have notice that i either play too tight or a little too loose. And seem to fold on reraise if i have middle pair.

At the moment i'm playing 6 seater table at mirco levels until i have build my BR up enough.

Just like some hints / tips or somebody tell me of some articles I can read which maybe i'm able to pick up some tips from!!

Do a Search on this site there is a great post called SO YOU WANT TO BE A CASH GAME PLAYER.

Theres 2 stickied posts in the "learning poker" forum that talk about "Becoming a winning cash game player". Also, if you are getting re-raised a lot it probably means you are raising pre-flop too often or you are raising out of position. Also if players see that you fold to re-raises a lot they will keep re-raising you allllll dayyyyyy. Make sure to focus on position. I play Full Ring and I'm not very good at 6-max...but I hear in 6-max you need to use a lot of aggression. Again, POSITION MATTERS. I never understood this until I posted my stats on this forum a week or two ago and had some players comment that I didn't focus on position very much. I changed up my style and now I seem to be winning a lot more. If you are the last one to act on every street (flop, turn, river) you will always have the upper hand!!

Position + Preflop Hand Selection + HUD = $ at micros

Check out Chuck Ts post in the golden archives. Its very helpful. Either print it out and get a highlighter or take notes. Helps a ton with hand selection and how to play against stack sizes. Along with everything else you need to play winning poker.

At micro, few players are aware or capable enough to notice how the other players play, so most have no idea how often you raise, limp, check-raise, enter posts voluntarily or anything else. So I tend not to give them credit until I've seen indications that they can. This does require watching all the hands and trying to figure out all the other players' styles, but that's something you nedd to do anyway if you want to improve as quickly as possible.

The advice about position is critical at micro. Because people tend just to play their hands, acting last is an even bigger advantage than at higher levels because the micro players are less likely to be tricky.
