That depends a lot on my oponents and everyones stack size. For example when I am down to 8 BB and everyone folds to me on the button I shove T8o into any stack bigger than mine, no problem.
It really depends a lot. Has someone raised or reraised before you. What position do you have? Stack sizes? Types of opponents?
Do you want to steal blind? yes.-- All-in.
Do you want to survive at short stack? yes.-- All-in.
Do you want to play with time efficiency ? yes.-- All-in.
There are too many conditions to select fold or All-in, but only depend on you have a choice. then you can think of position, stacks, good hand and so on.
But when you have no choice, ex big blind, should you wait until AA,KK,QQ?
If you think so, then cash table is suitable for you, but not tournaments.
For me it's AA KK QQ
I lost almost time with JJ
I give an example for you.
This is in a tournament, My opponent re-raise me after flop.
It's clear he got at least a pair of KK, and there are near half of my chips on pot.
If i lose this hand, My chips are not enough to pass bubble period.
Then turn J, it is useless to fight KK, if i pass my opponent will raise again.
My only hope is flush, or make my opponent think i got flush.
That's risk to play this way--All-in, but i decide to take the risk.
I want to say is "Playing poker can't only depend on good hand".
I don't have specific cards that I go all in with because that would assume I would do that with those cards regardless of the situation. I look more at the situation itself to determine if I will shove. Table dynamics, tournament dynamics, position, and stack size (if playing an MTT) are all things I will consider if I will shove. If I have a huge stack in an MTT, I'll probably be picking my spots more carefully, whereas if I need to double-up, I may have to widen my range somewhat.
I think a different question here should be "when do you go all in"?
