I think what your saying is should you play K3 suited and if so it really depends on table dynamics and position...sometimes it does pay to play such a starting hand and at times it is just wasting money. If your looking for a more detailed response maybe add some variables along with the question, like table position, blind levels etc. Welcome to CC and good luck on the felts!
I forget the exact number, but being suited only adds a very small percentage to the value of a hand.
So basically - play K3 suited the same way you'd play K3 offsuit. If you'd fold the hand that wasn't suited, you should probably do the same with the suited one.
You can play Kxxx in two cases:
1) When you have a too short stack and there is no time to wait for a better hand. K2s is better than 72o.
2) When you have the opportunity to see the flop cheaply. Suited cards with the king - a good chance for a strong flash.
Perhaps at the beginning of tournament play, when blinds are low, or you are small blind. But I agree with cheapseats76 about the dynamics, such as position and what it's going to cost chip wise?
In a tournament of high value, I would not pay K 3 the same suit, since evidently the 3 is a lower card and you could easily win with k 10, I recommend you play with patience that surely there comes a better pair And probably the same suit. success.
think the suitedness adds about .4% to the value of the hand, not enough to make up for the post flop difficulty of playing k3s, especially when you consider you may not get paid off with the flush
I would definitely fold that hand unless its in the very opening stage of a tournament where the blinds are super low and even then im thinking now id fold it. Stick to the top 10 percent of hands and you shall win most of the time.
I personally advise you not to play with such cards, only a very cheap button, and that is, if calm players are ahead, by the way, the last tournament has lost with K3 tambourines, Dro's flush fell and flew away, did not reach, I will not repeat such mistakes again
Its depends in what position you are. If you on button you can push small and big blind with any suit card. Same thing on big or small blind, you can defend your blind with suit cards.
Such cards as suited K-3 are better to fold pre-flop from any position. Play suited hands only to hit the flush - it is extremely not profitable (it all depends on the stack).
If possible, need to play the following suited cards:
- which receive senior couples with a good kicker
- which fall into a large number of boards.
I play it in the blinds and if nobody raise, maybe others situation can I play but I often don´t play it. The position is the key for me with that hand.
if your hand is suited there is a 6% chance you will hit your flush by river , thing is ,even if you hit your flush there are a lot of hands in your opponents range could have a better flush. k3 suited is a very bad hand say you hit a king , your kicker still wont play a lot of the time too.
