Thanks for the replies. I tried HuD a long time ago, and felt that I was watching that more than the table, making my decisions based on the stats it told me rather than playing my own game, started to enjoy playing less.
For the most part I have built up my own style over time, and get a feel of what will work in some spots, many mini cashes all the time though and the very occasional deep run. I watch players as best I can, use the previous hand tool to rapidly click back and see roughly how many hands they play (kind of doing the work myself instead of HuD), taking notes on certain actions, and then playing to that information.
But after years of losing, I figure something is not right, so I start reading books and forums, watching streams, then change what I normally do and lose more!, rather than finding out where I am going wrong and pushing past the losses to at least break even.
I do play all other
poker games, and really enjoy most, I was winning in mixed games, then started losing, currently in profit on OH8 (cause I won $200 or so in a $2.20 MTT, which kind of payed for all my losses which was -ROI).
I like to play other games more than Hold'em as I enjoy them more, but I also want to crush Hold'em, as it's there where the big wins can happen, and nothing satisfies me more than being at the last few tables, full concentration, trying to make it to the FT.
Just started using Jivaro, it's nice, neat, gives some good info, but again I play too much into the stats, and it takes my attention away from what the players are doing.
Since trying to get better putting many hours into study recently, my results have plummeted even more, rather than improved which I thought it would.
I took some advice and mixed in some 90/180 seat SNG on Stars...lost most, mini cashed 1 (just like in big MTT's).
Happens a lot lately with hands like AJ or even A3o depending on player, I see someone being super aggressive, wanting to give his chips away, so I call the all-in early on and lose to a 55-45% roughly race, hands like KQ, KJ, KTs all those ranges, small pairs, even stuff like 95s from some terrible players, other situations I think I am making all the right moves, doing the right actions, and losing over and over again cause my tournament life is on the line to a drunken muppet. So maybe I am not doing right, even if I believe I am ahead before the flop to these all-in raises I should fold, unless AA (etc).
So now I question myself over and over, and start doing things wrong that maybe I was doing right, and vice versa.
This is why I look for possible advice, as I am now at a loss as to what I should do.
