deposited 40$ on Thursday was able to run well with it and got it up to 55$ by Friday on Saturday I ran bad and dropped to around 25$ and today it dropped to 15$. Thing is I'm 2-4 tabling at 2NL and cannot seem to win. I have periods where I crush it and can usually double my buy in but then I get these random periods where I get coolered/sucked out on. These seem to be happening a lot and I'm not sure if it's my style of play (Have a vpip of about 25 and a pfr of about 23 on full ring). It could also be the sheer amount of donks I play with.
I've read the book by blackrain79 and I try to do what he says but I still seem to get beaten a lot. This isn't over a small sample size though I've just got PT4 on trial after finishing my HM2 trial so I have 1000 hands+ on some players and try to make the best decisions. Only recently got back into the game after about a year away from it. I love the game but I hate losing when I feel that I am making the best decisions. Any advice for me on how to play at 2NL? Are coaches worth it at these levels? Who would be the best value for money as I only have about 100$ disposable income. Or would it be more beneficial to just deposit that 100$ into my account and just try to improve my game myself?

Good coaching for free there on 2NL.
Study it all before you bet any more.

Don't cheat on yourself. If you're losing in the long run, then it's your fault and you're not being unlucky. Study the game and use proper BR management.

BR management has been my downfall. Any time I run up my bankroll, get way to confident and play stakes too high for my roll. Also, a lot of donks at the low levels online

with 100$, i suggest you get a coach for 2 hours(15$~30$ per skype hour), enroll in a poker training program (6$~15$) and get yourself a poker hand drills software($50 Ace poker drills).
Coach- learn and try to know all you mistakes and find out how to fix it.
Training programs- learn new strategys and know when to use them.
Hand drills- to speed up your card reading skills and to face problems you might meet while playing poker.

it is very strange. NL2 - very easy play. 15bb/100 is no problem for me. You must just play tight and sometimes fold strong hands if opponents suddenly betting.

If you are struggling to remain consistent on any level, i'd suggest reducing the number of tables that you are running on until you get to a level where you have consistent earnings. Then consider adding more tables.

You're vpip should be at 13to15% and pfr at 10 to 13 %, you are probably playing to many hands out of position, maybe play stronger starting hands also.
What cite are you playing on? Stars seem to have better players, makes it harder to be a winning player.

I would go down to just 1 or 2 tables, which will help you build some patience, but still it's not in line with your BR, but that's as low as it goes. I was right where you are 3 years ago, almost busted, and mad as hell. I had $20 and thought I was the worst player ever. But when I got in here and asked a lot of questions and took all the advice to the tables, I started winning even if it was just $0.50 or $1 in a day. Everything I've learned about poker has come from right here, and at the tables. And even if it is slow, I'm a winning player in the long run. I'm only at 10nl, and it is a tough level. Anyway there is a lot you can learn here. Take one piece at a time and work on it. GL to you
