Marginal hands on the turn
If you're a beginner, when you're on the turn and only have a marginal hand or even nothing more than Ace high, you have to ask yourself, "does the person who is betting have me beat?"
odds are if they are betting on the turn the answer is probably yes they have you beat.
When you're on the turn it may be tempting to want to see the river since it's just one more card, but those are valuable chips you're throwing into the pot at that point. If you've gained the skills of calculating

equity then you know whether you should fold, call, or even raise with nothing. However, the vast majority of the time you should just fold the hand and look for a better spot. To help you do that, follow a rule where you ask yourself, "do they have me beat at this very moment?" The answer is yes and so you should fold if the answer is yes. That is your rule as a beginner, so when in doubt, just follow that rule.
