I haven't played poker in few months due to university, but now I've finished until September I'm looking to get back into poker. I've brought a few poker books including 2 of Harringtons books, kill everyone and also collin moshman sng strategy. I intend to read at least one whole book before I start playing again, but I am not sure on which route to go. I play on the iPoker network and I'm not sure if their 180 man sng's are that popular as I normally see mostly single table sng's taking place. Is $300 enough to attempt to build a bankroll with playing mtt's or am I better off starting with the sng's?

The size of your roll isn't the only factor. If you're a below average player at the stakes you play, no roll is large enough. OTOH, if you're a lot better, you may be able to get by with a roll that consists of fewer buyins than is usually suggested
