Maybe stts are the best way, easiest to learn and to multitable.

Cash games are the best option and lowest variance. However, most people drastically underestimate the variance in all poker games. If you are playing NL HE cash games, you should absolutely have 50 buy-ins or more in your bankroll, and even then, you could go broke.

I have restarted my bankroll from scratch four times in my poker hobby, because I multiple times used my poker money for a big expense in my "real life". I am playing 10NLHE right now on a $1k bankroll, and even had a $400 downswing that was definitely variance upon analyzing my hands.

The best game to build a bankroll is what you are confident to play or what suits you best - whatever makes you comfortable. I don't agree that cash games have lowest variance. I think cash games can have much higher variance bankroll wise whereas if you stick to sit n go's the bankroll variance is not that big and a few good runs in these can boost your bankroll.

I personally prefer sit n go's to build a bankroll.:)

I also think so. SnG's have a lower variance than cash games and mtt's.

It depends on what you're most comfortable with. Try out different games. For me cash games have the highest variance followed by mtts and sngs presenting the lowest variance. Within sng, playing dons help lower the variance as it's really the lowest out there. Lowest variance usually means its hardest to build a bankroll quickly...it'll take time.

In my opinion, I believe playing omaha hi/lo is an easy way to make money, because all they do is throw money chasing lows, and it is easy to make people fold. I have made so much money playing that, I can not wait until I get a nice enough roll to go to the wsop omaha hi lo event because I feel I will tid... That is the best way to build a roll.. 5 cent 10 cent omaha hi lo....

I personally built a solid 4 figure roll from a small deposit on Carbon playing mostly Sng's.. However that is what I am most skilled at and comfortable playing, followed my MTTs and then cash games. I agree with what most people say in doing what you feel you're best at and sticking with it for a bit. Wait to branch out to other games when you can afford the buy-ins.

Play what you like the most, and what you do best. But no matter what you're playing, never put into the game more than 2% of your bankroll in a specific period of time (daily for instance). If you have $100 in your bankroll and play every day, play max 2$ per day (even if you lost that day, don't put more). If you have $0 in your bankroll, start with freerolls :)
