I have found I'm a lot better player in SNGs at micro stakes as I know when to steal, position, the importance of cashing, how to use huds and general basics. I struggle with how much fish float in cash games at microstakes and keep losing small rolls im trying to build.

I asked easywithaces on twitch what was a good amount of buyins for sngs to build a roll was and he says 200. I think that's a little conservative for microstakes despite swings. What do you guys think?

I think you were given a conservative amount because you should be confirming profitability, at the lowest stakes you can tolerate, before moving up. If your variance is wide because your strategy is untested/inconsistent, then moving up is an ultimately poor decision.

I also think it's very conservative, but in microstakes we have to adapt our game to each situation, knowing that in these stakes our game has to be very solid so we don't lose focus playing for short term money. I really agree with DudePoker when he said about moving up with and inconsistent game, cause it's very unprofitable in the long term. I know that is very bothering to play with crazy donkers and bingo players, becaus their game don't follow any rules found in articles and books, but if someone can't play well and profit in microstakes, neither he will do it in higher stakes, mostly because he can't adapt his game to each situation, so, this is the importance of building a very solid basis to play on microstakes.
