Depending how many you have to go before the money and how many players are almost chipped out i find not playing much can be effective to just slide into the money and then see after that. Makes the hours of grinding mean more even ifs its a small cash up ,its still an up which builds confidence and chances to play other tournies etc

i use to fold every hand!!but was a bad play..you end up in late stage with no chips and all you do is take the minimum cash in..i don't think that's the goal..so in my opinion when are 10 maybe 15 players until bubble..i play more aggresive..i by that time you already know the players at your table..you know how is going to fold a 3bet and who is not going to protect his BB.

As long as you stay at the same table for a while this is a good chance to steal as everyone can get very tight. Just don't get in a battle with anyone and you should make it but don't throw away something that could get you a better payout. When you enter a pot at this stage you are either up against a thief or a premium holding, not many speculative limpers.

Lots of people start playing as tight as can be.
Some even fold everything until the bubble bursts.

For me it's kinda the time to start playing more aggressive, "No guts, no glory".
Not telling you to go reckless and try to steal every pot, but use the fact that most people don't want to risk falling out before the bubble.

I always keep this in mind;

"I haven't been playing all these hours just to break even.. I need more stack for that final table!"

I'd rather take the risk and get thrown out right before the bubble vs. missing out on what could be my stepping stone to the stack leaders.:deal:

depends on a bubble, does this bubble mean a lot to u, but generally, i wouldn't have passed up spots to shove, because u really want to get tot the top in mtts, since payouts are that top heavy

When I enter the bubble with a real small stack I try to go on as I did before. A lot of people change their behavior when they have a real small stack. For me, I try to continue. So don't become nervous...

Honestly, fighting against the big stacks is really hard on the bubble so earlier or later you will have to go all-in to have a minimum of a chance...

My first goal is always hitting the bubble, the second coming as far as possible without changing my game and third reaching the final table.

This is a very difficult situation. Trying to prizes to sit, or to play push/fold. I'm trying to live up to prizes, although probably the right way to play according to ICM strategy.

No problem Gh0stL, it's the main reason I joined this place;

To help people by giving my opinions, and to get insight from other people on things I need some more info on/opinions, etc.

That's where forums are used for I guess, to help each other out, ask questions and of course to have a place to meet up with people with the same interests and discus things. :)

Just remember, everyone has his/her own playing style, and that's what works best for them. Find it, develop it, and most of all: Keep your head clear and don't drop your guard. One slip can make a huge difference in the payout! :eating:

Be agressive in the bubble is the best choice.. Almost every player play few hands in this stage... So, is time to take more risk

It also depends on the bubble payout, i think.
If getting in the cash will make a difference in your bankroll, you might want to play tight and try to make it in the money.
If you are playing for the top spot and don't care if you bust, you might want to play more aggressive.
That way if you win some hands you will be in good shape for the final table.

As short stack play as tight as possible if shipping is really important for you.

As a big stack you can actually play very loose and abuse the bubble to pick up a lot of chips.

It's always hard to play in the bubble. Basically you have to choose between two opportunities. Sit and play very tight, reach the ITM and loose the chance to hit the FT, or play agressive having the chance to be knocked out in the bubble but sometimes collecting enough chips to hit the Final Table.

If You have enough chips then I would suggest to play agressive. If you have only few BB left then I would wait bubble and after that.. let' see..

Only push/fold...if i'm on short stack, I waiting for very good cards and go all in...bad idea is betting on average cards and "hope for incredible board", because if big stack raise, you must go all in mostly. If I bet more than half of stack, so hard to fold it
