I'm looking for help with managing my bankroll. My question is if I'm mainly an online player and have my bankroll spread on multiple sites how should I determine what limits I play? Say I have $50 on Bovada,$25 on FFP, and $25 on BCP should I play $.05/.10 on all sites since all my money equals to $100 or $.02/.05 on Bovada and $.01/.02 on FFP and Bovada, playing as if each site is an individual BR. As always thanks in advance and good luck!

IMO its more a personal preference type of thing, I essentially do brm per the br on that specific sight. On the same note the brm you follow is also dependent on how easy it would be to replace the online br.

Basically looking at br on all sites as conjoined and setting brm based on that just has to be understood that it means you could go broke on an individual site much easier than doing them seperately but also would be the same that you would be more slowely in building profit and moving up limits.

Hope that makes sense, feeling oddly drained so brain may not be functioning right lol.

IMO, your BR includes all the money you are willing to use for poker, no matter how it is divided or where the sub-amounts are located. It can include money that's still in your pocket, bank, e-wallet, etc.

Playing as if each site has a separate BR can be downright silly. Say you have $200 on a site and use a 30 BI BRM guideline; you're rolled to play NL5. If you also have $50 on another skin of the same network, you can't play at the exact same table just because of which skin you're logged into. Doesn't make sense to me.

And in your example, you're not rolled to play NL10 with $100 total no matter how you regard your BR.

How am I not? $0.10x1,000=$100.00, $100 is clearly 1,000 BB or 10 buy-ins.

If you want to stay longer to a site, BRM is really essential.
What I know: at least 100BB for cash games and can least 100 buy-ins for tournaments. Thats BRM for me.

I think it all depends if you can reload, if necessary, on each site. Normally, I agree with Arjonius if you CAN, because then it's just a matter of moving some funds around, just like you had $ in your pocket. If you CAN'T....say the wife cut you off and you're stuck with whatever you have on any given site then I actually would treat each site as a separate endeavor. That being said...you'll be playing at different limits per site if you're stuck in option 2.

I've seen you give this identical BRM advice in several other posts, what do you mean by "100BB for cash games"? Do you even know what you are talking about? 100bb is one buy-in, so obviously it's nowhere near enough!

10 BI is very aggressive BRM. While some people feel 20 BI is an adequate minimum, I suggest at least 30.

Fwiw, Chris Ferguson used 20 BI in his BR challenges. But to put this in context, even though he's an MTT guy, he undoubtedly had a significant skill advantage over opponents at the NL10 cash level. A player with less advantage should use an appropriately higher BI guideline.

You're free to set whatever BRM guidelines you want for yourself. But if you're suggesting that 100 bb (= one full BI at most tables) is *good* BRM for anyone, yourself included, you really need to think again.
