I had been posting in my, "I need advice," tread all the wins I was hitting awhile back. Almost made it to $600. Well since then my BR is going down hill again. About $100 in the past month. I'm moving down with the MTT buy ins, but I think I'll stay at 10nl since I so used to playing at that level. What do you all think. Is there anything else I should be doing to get through this small downswing?

Maybe you must be more careful, and patient, because when you win, it dooes not means that you will win always. When you lose a lot stay out!

Don't change anything. If you were being successful, keep doing what you're doing. Just recognize that it is all part of the game. You have to take a long-term look at your bankroll. If you start monitoring it every day and then say, oh I'm down. I've had 3 bad days in a row, you might start panicking and lose even more. If you are a daily grinder, keep a chart of your bankroll on a weekly basis or monthly basis and not daily. That'll give you a better indication of how you are doing..

Try reviewing your tourneys and try to identify your worst mistakes and fix them.

Thanks for the replies you guys. Yeah skull89 that's what I'm looking for, because they have to be fixed. I'm not real sure but there may be 2 or 3. Thanks teepack. We been around here a long time, and I have got a lot out of your advice. "Don't Change Anything" OK Played in a MTT eariler that I play about every day and got 9th. You are right teepack. No need in going backwards, but I am going to do like makissa said, I'm not going to play a lot for a little while. I've done this many times, but now I'm able to catch it before it really gets bad.

Teepack have great advice. Additionally remember that you are not owed anything. I have this problem sometimes where I feel entitled; I feel like I am supposed to win. While this can be good many times, I must also remember others are trying their best and the cards have no memory of how "good I am." So I must remember to play my "A" game and stay within myself. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Yes ShoTyme it does help. Never thought about it like that before. I do go into the game believing I CAN win or lose, and I think I take my A game to the table. So maybe I should look at that some. Thanks for pointing out a possible leak. GL to you

Keep grinding! Don't change the way you play if it has been profitable. Sometimes losing a bunch of money or just a string of bad beats can cause players to be TOO cautious when they play later on, which can be hugely detrimental. Just keep making good decisions and you will see an upswing. GL!

This is some of what is going on. I played in the $500 GTD at FF at noon yesterday. I spent $12 on buyins, and done real good the whole game and got to the final table. But I still had to get to 5th to really profit. However, I went out 9th with my AA vs KK and won $5. So I lost $7. It don't take many of those to drag down a BR. But going to take all the advice and not change how I'm doing now. I sure don't want to go backward. Thanks ThanJay. and GL to all of you.
