Having played online for several months now I am keen to build a bankroll that I can use to improve my game. However the only game I really enjoy playing are on pokerstars Bounty Builder series, usually $7.50 or $11.00 games.

Is Bank Roll Management related to only cash games? I read that you need minimum of 20 maximum buy ins? My question is should I forget about the Bounty Builder games and start from scratch at 05c/10c cash games?

Cmon,Tiger. Start reading Bro. I understand you want help, but you must take it upon yourself to know the basics. I`m willing to help if that person shows he`s willing to help themselves first. That said,i wish you luck, sir:)

I also love playing the bounty builder, it's very easy for you to recover the investment before the ITM, so it's a great tournament to raise your BR

So I guess your answer is to skip the Bounty Builders and start playing from bottom up?

Think you should be rolled for 100 games so if you are playing $11 stakes you should have $1100 bankroll.

If you're playing for fun only why not enjoy bounty tourneys while they last. lol
There are also other formats with bounties - SNGs, MTSNGs with different speeds. But in general if you dont plan on depositing any time soon it's better to play with BRM. You dont have to play cash if you dislike it but I would say to have 20 buyings in MTT is way too optimistic.

This class tournaments Bounty Builder I like, in such tournaments you can quickly get back your bet and win money, at about such tournaments - about 2.20 - 3.30 - 5.50 dollars, play and everything will be fine, good luck to you

I just started playing bounty builders following advice from my cousin who manages to grind up a decent sum monthly and is mostly a profitable player. I figured if he's doing well there must be something he's doing right, so I decided to try, and I have found that they're a really nice way to boost your BR in the low/mid stakes. Good luck

Very good advice. It does not have to be on one poker site. If i have 8 poker sites, yea as long as my total poker bankroll is $1100, i would allow myself to play these $11 tourneys all day long.

In the long run, bounty builders are no different than any other tournament, its just different format. So if BB suits your tastes better - play it. But from pure BRM perspective - standard rules apply.
I prefer 50 buy-in BRM, although I often play with larger buy-ins I can afford. 20 buy-ins are absolute MINIMUM.

Bounty builder is a bit crazy , I mean you will face a lot of bingo players , going all in with crazy hands for the bounty , so you're increasing your odds of getting some bad beats and even risque your BR , this kind of games are full of tilt

20 buy-ins BRM?! Hell.. that would be absolute hardcore desperado aggressive MTT Bankroll Management Plan for me, but if it works for you, i wish you good luck with that! I would never start to play MTTs with less than 75 or even 100 buy-ins though. Maybe you think it's way too conservative plan, but on another hand it keeps me safe from any possible long-lasting downswings periods, which do happen from time to time. So in case of such downswings with only 20 buy-ins BRM i would be thrown down to the lower limits very quickly and it's very frustrating. But of course BRM is a very personal thing and everyone decides for himself which BRM plan works better. But more important thing than thinking out a proper BRM plan is to be disciplined enough and really stick to it no matter what.
