Depending on your stakes played, you will probably be much better off by participating on the forums. Many books are geared way above the micro limit player's ability, whereas the forums have a ton of that level thinking.

depends on your experience, and what you are playing

but heres one for every situation

to get better, at tour and your a long ball player, harrington vol1-3
no matter long or small baller (tour) kill everyone, is a must
if your playing sit and gos, get sit n go strategy by collin moshman
playing live and need reads, get read em reap by Joe navaro
for bet sizing i like phil gordons book(a lot of details)
need help with odds-matthew higglers odds and probability
for pshchology try alan schonmaker book
if pokers or bad beats getting to you get zen and the art of poker
i like gus new book, just to read how he thinks(i do not think like him)
also harrington has some good cash game vol.s
thats all i can think of right now, if i think of more ill add later. gl

Hold'em , but books on learning how to play other kinds of poker would be great too!

can't answer without knowing your current level of poker, tbh. What stakes? How much volume? Are you a winner?

My favorite NL book is balugawhale's Easy Game, but it won't be any use to you if you're not already quite proficient at the game.

Have you read Phil Gordon's "Little Green Book"? From this ^, I'd think you might like it.

What books have you read?

Really good ones: Winning Poker Tournaments Vol. 1+1 by pearljammer/apestyles/rizen and the two books by Lee Nelson ("Kill Phil" and "Kill Everyone"), Harrington on Cashgames, Dusty Schmidt´s great book "Treat Your Poker like a Business" ! :adore:

Balugawhales book ? Never heard about it - is this an ebook ?

I just read Gus Hansen's book "Every Hand Revealed" and found it to be a very interesting read into the mind of a maniac style player. Even better for me is this type of play suits my style very well so I have gained some insight into the kinds of moves I can make in a tournament and what to expect from them. Also would suggest HoH for some generic strategy, currently reading SnG strategy by Moshman but not far enough in to make a judgement yet.

For MTT´s Harrington´s are the sh-t, very simple to understand and very effective, and you can get them for free online (not my case, but if you want).

I really enjoyed Vicky Coren's book. But it has literally no poker help in it at all.

I wouldn't bother with Vol.3 - - it's a waste of time... time that could be spent on far better material.

oh yea, for heads up play, "heads-up no-limit hold'em" by colllin moshman.

Just purchased Harrington on Online cash games 6 man max, well about 2 weeks ago, figure it will be a good book on the subject- as all his others are "money"

other games, dont know man read a couple articles online about other games, but cant really get into them- as holdem takes about 99% of my brain power, as the other 1% tells me to breath and sometimes eat.
