There is a particular case where appropriate to do so?
Thank You.

Bluff

Bluff is a significant consituent part of poker. You can read it in any poker book. But there are many criteria on how and when you should bluff. For instance, it is not recommended to bluff against more than one player.

bluffing is like flying an airplane. If you dont know what you are doing and why you are doing it, you will almost certainly crash.

But there are many cases where it is appropriate to do so.

This is NOT a Koan!

If one does not occasionally, judiciously bluff, how can one expect to profit greatly from hands of nuts?

I believe in small stakes you shouldn't do it AT ALL. I realised that in small online tournaments people don't really pay attention on their opponent, a majority of them don't really care who they play against.
I haven't been playing any big tournaments, but there you can try bluffing, of course only when the time is right.
Everything else is in a live tournaments, where you might try bluffing, and turining on your poker face afterwards :D

Single-table tournaments are the best places to bluff - when you have had time to project an image. The tighter your image the more likely you are to get away with it. But on a 9-man table you're probably going to be down to five or six players before you have projected any image, and if several of the players are multi-tabling even then they may be unaware that you've just folded 24 hands in sucession!

So don't be in a hurry to bluff. Work out whether the player can afford to lose his chips before you do it. And don't try it in these weird rush or zoom games unless you are desperate.
