Any experiences with bluff catching ?
I like it to do with hands with some good showdown value like Ace high, middle pair and also little pocket pairs (hole cards).
It´s a little bit risky, because you have to be sure that you can beat him in the show down.
And if you are very sure that he has missed the board, then Ace or even King/Queen high is often good enough, it can be exciting, but it requires good reads and experience.

Not so. Basically, you're looking for situations where you beat a sizable enough part of the opponent's range, often missed draws, so that the pot odds are acceptable. This can quite often mean calling when feel you are behind; e.g. if the pot odds on the river are 6:1 and you estimate 20-25% of his range is bluffs.

Picking off river bluffs may be the single most profitable play in poker, particularly live poker. On no other street is players betting range as polarized as on the river. Rarely will anyone (at least at the lower limits) make an aggressive act after check calling the flop and turn unless they either made or missed their hand on the river. Since river bluffs are often less than 1/2 the size of the pot you often must only be good 1:3 times to call, I often get 5:1 or better. With those odds I call with any made hand and sometimes less. Nothing gains you more respect at the table than pickin' one off with ace high.
