Hi
I am currently playing micro stakes NLH and i can double or treble my buy in constantly. The problem i have is that I seem to get to a point and then it goes down hill.

Not sure what it is over confidence or something else.

Just wondering if anyone else suffered or suffers the same thing and how they dealt with it.

Cheers

I recommend to cash out and buy in again when you reach the point you use to be successful in order to limit your losses.

I agree totally at least you will only lose your basic stake still showing a profit overall on the two tables

Those ups and downs are not a good sign, if it is a constant you should reduce the intensity of hours that you are devoting to the game. For me, it means that you still can not stand long sessions.

Find the right game where you have success with, if ur losing a lot switch up the game whether it be 6 max or full table, cash game or sit and go find the section u play the best in and stick with that

+ 1

Eventually, you are going to run into a better hand, a cooler, get out drawn, ect.... Part of bankroll management is learning when to leave a table and take the profit. Your under no obligation to give someone a chance to "win" their money back. Lots of tables online.

I suffer from the same thing all the time. I don't know if this will be of much help to you, but I notice once I start getting bored of the table this begins to happen to me. I find myself staying there just to try to make some more money, but I'm am no longer enjoying myself. If you end up becoming chip leader at your table its also probably a good time to get out of there, if you find yourself playing more hands than you should and doubling up your opponents because it seems like a small risk at the time, then before you know it your do it more than once. Some players once they take a big hit, they lose there patience and just want to get back to the same amount of cash. Maybe you should start playing in stakes that matter to you, just make sure they don't matter too much because that can be uncomfortable.

Blowing up in the poker realm is called going on 'Tilt.' I've done it plenty of times and its usually where i end up losing my roll and playing freerolls again. Starting from scratch. The key to avoiding tilt is realizing what triggers that emotion. By proper session analysis it is usually easy and fairly quick in finding those triggers.

What is your BRM for cash tables? What is your strategy/pre-flop charts are you using? The best advice is to analyze your play, post hands and look for improvements, maybe pick up a cheap book on cash games.
