Do you always defend your blinds? Sometimes? Input please

I have played quite a few tournaments where defending blinds has hurt me/ helped me chip wise. How do you stack up?

It depends. If your image is tight, you could always raise here and get respect, or barrel the first street if its a flop you think your opponent knows would hit you.

I probably won't defend with a j3 off... but hands like 6-8 suited, sure.

If its deep in a tourney, probably not as often. Sometimes use the stop n go tactic.

I am not a fan of the defend the blinds concept. I am not going to call a raise with 9-4o just because I'm in the BB. I think you wind up costing yourselves way too many chips playing crappy cards you would not otherwise play.

think its very important to defend your blinds and you are often getting good odds especially against the silly sb min raise
