I've read a few threads and I see that most see betting timing as irrelevant.... I disagree entirely. From my experience paying attention to this can help you. More so if you develop your own tendencies you can gain advantages. For example I never bet quickly. I pick a spot deep in the timer and bet there every time. I do this to give the opponent time to think of the possibilities and why I'm betting what I'm betting. If you know your opponents this seems to cause them to stay in line with their predominant playing styles. It can also cause some bettors who we're going to call a wide range behind you to reconsider or prematurely hit that fold button. Last but not least it shows you are considering every bet and paying attention. The habit forces you to consider every hand. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!

Do you check, fold, and bet at the same time? I have tried this several times, but find myself ignoring this pattern by the second hour, when I feel like I have a good read on my table. But to answer your question, most poker software now a day, will pay attention to this betting pattern for you.

Timing tells are player depending. Based off my experience I have noticed a few patterns in the micro stakes 5nl/10nl cash games. First if there is a raise in utg-utg+1 within 3/5 seconds this range is AA-JJ,AK-A9suited + depending on how many BBs villain raised will give you a lot of information on narrowing their range. Secondly if villain bets pre flop in the( cut off ) or on the (button) when there has been folds all around, you may want to defend depending on villains stats and if he stalls on the flip after you checked out of position for longer than 5-8 seconds then c bets I would light 3 bet here. This is sounding like gibberish, but you get the idea of how important betting patterns and timing tells are so ask yourself on question do you want quality over quantity if so cut down on your tables.

Interesting i must say. But i wonder how can my timing make a difference when i have 8 tables going. i make my move when i get to it sometimes faster than other times. timing tells would be something big if everybody only played one table at a time. Im sure there are tells on people on there response time. Now im thinking in online play everybody doesnt have the same download speed and the upload speeds vary quite a bit. but now i will be paying attention to this. I guess only time will tell lol.

I've honestly never used any software which probably puts me at a huge disadvantage. However like most players I switch up my tendencies and sometimes even take bad beats early on too put on a noob tendency. Kinda in a hustling sense. I do always bet check and fold at the same time. I also tend to play one table at a time since I'm usually restricted to a mobile device.

First off when I do play multiple tables I never play more than four. ( then again I don't use software) I feel that if your playing more than four you can never get a feel for a table and your just playing your cards. I also feel that statistics can be deceiving at times if your opponents are paying attention they are liable to switch up their game to confuse or trick you. I tend to play tournaments as well over cash games. In cash games you could always go for one and dones then move tables. Which can be really effective on sites that show no user name or don't allow software.

I agree with your logic and it is well explained. Kind of off topic, but what software do you use?

How do you time tells when someone is multi tabling, slow internet connection, slow at pressing buttons, and etc? Sometimes I like to "tank" when I have a big hand so it looks like I'm weak. Both pre and post flop.
