A player who believes he has nothing left to learn, is finished. The great players are always looking to learn new things. They're always adjusting, trying new things, and ultimately improving their game in the process. This keeps them interested & on their toes. Right where you ought to be. The great players all seem to have this kind of mentallity. I once knew a guy who played like that. He was outstanding. I used to watch him play. And i tried to model my game after his. He was a great player. He gave me advice once. He said, "being successful at poker is all about; knowing when to win, knowing when to lose, & knowing when to just break even." Having consistant success in this game comes down to maximising your winnings on the good days and minimizing the losses suffered on the bad days. But it's just as important not to force things on the break even days. It's the best advice i ever got. :top:

I agree with you. Success is, in fact, everyday hard work and regular training. It's never too late to study. I always try to improve my skills and explore new opportunities.

I like the advice that was given to you. I totally agree. Even the best players lose from time to time. We need to understand this and take it easy.

“The master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried.”
― Stephen McCranie

"Failure is a great teacher, and I think when you make mistakes and you recover from them and you treat them as valuable learning experiences, then you've got something to share."
- Steve Harvey

We are born without knowing anything and will die without having learned enough. Anyone who believes he has nothing to learn will soon be outdated, and one day he who is considered a fool or apprentice will be outdone him. I heard a phrase that I do not remember the author now: "No one is so intelligent that he does not have something to learn, and nobody is so stupid that he does not have something to teach."

We know that the game of poker is more than a game of cards, it is a game of people, and as people are in constant change, every day we will come across scenarios that over time will condition us so that we become better players, a characteristic of the best players is being able to perceive details that go beyond the basics, and their games go beyond expectations.
