Thanks Rhom. I've been watching some Tourneys on tv and the sizing does seem a bit smaller. A lot more 1/2 pot size vs 3/4's and 3bets seem lighter too. But tv only shows the big hands and the deeper stacks/later stages play and shows little
if any early stage play. I'm just wondering if the way you and I are practicing with our cash games would be transferable into tournament play.
Its similar especially if its the start of a rebuy tournament.
Only problem if its a freezeout you have to more careful with your chips as once you are out thats it.
Online tournaments- as you can just register for another one then at the start its ok to play alittle looser whereas if you travel to a casino then you are less likely to take flips and it becomes more a game of survival.
Key difference is the dynamics later in a tournament as its all about shoving and folding in the right spots
