Hey, I'm having some trouble figuring out what the best possible bet sizing after seeing the flop would be. I'm curious as to what a "standard" bet size would be for each of these situations.

1. When you have a strong made hand.

2. When you have a draw to a straight/flush.

3. When you were the aggressor preflop, missed the flop, and want to continue bet. (I'm pretty sure this one's 1/2 to 3/4 pot)

4. When you want to get your opponent off their hand, whether it be that you are bluffing or you want him off of his draw or mid pair.

Also, exactly what fraction of the pot is a value bet? A little under half the pot size?

The value bet is the exact fraction of the opponents stack that they will pay, nothing to do with the pot!

1. When you have a strong made hand.

Bet little so you can get more money in the pot ( I'm a small ball player so i bet 2.5 the blind and keep going up by 40 each betting round that way when they see that i have won at the show down I repeat the betting and other people at the table start to sec. guess themselfs when i do this)

2. When you have a draw to a straight/flush.

depends on the number of people in the hand if it 2 or less I bet 1/2 of pot but more then 2 people I just check

3. When you were the aggressor preflop, missed the flop, and want to continue bet. (I'm pretty sure this one's 1/2 to 3/4 pot)

if there less then 2 people in the hand i bet 3/4 the pot due to i don't wanted to look like a bluff bet but I make it look like a want you to all it

4. When you want to get your opponent off their hand, whether it be that you are bluffing or you want him off of his draw or mid pair.

there always the all in i have done this maybe once per tournament

Depends on every single hand. It is up to you on how to extract the maximum amount of money when u have the best hand and the amount u have to bet to scare the opponent away when u are in a draw.
When u have the best hand and the opponent is a calling station u have to test him from time to time to see how much he is willing to pay to see the next card. Do not try to bluff him when u are in a draw cose he can call u untill the river and hit his card and u will lose a lot. Do not became pot comitted . If the opponent is a tight player than u have to try to slowplay him or else he will not give u anything untill he has something good.

Anyway this works with players that know some basic poker. Donks can challenge u untill the river and than put u all in if they hit their card. Or u will try to scare them when u are in a draw and they will put u all in. Read the opponents. Usualy bad players play a lot of hands. But also they can get lucky. Be tight preflop and postflop at the begining at the tournament. When the blinds are big than u can bet whatever u want. My advice is that preflop and postflop bet a constant number of blinds everytime so that the opponent will not be able to read u. Different bets require a lot of experience and u can only learn properly about them on the books . If u do not have enough experience u will form patterns that will be easy to read by the opponents. Usualy most players have 3-4 patterns of betting and they kinda respect them . Good players use patterns in another way. 2 different situations and the same pattern, one when they will bluff u and one when they will take your money. There are no rules for betting but there are ways to extract the maximum amount of money when u win a hand.

Dont bet your hand, bet the flop.

So on drawy boards, if you play a hand you bet bigger than you would on a rainbow flop.
