78s that doesn't share the same suit as either ace.

AsAc vs 7h8h, for example. 78s has ~23% equity vs AA.

78s has both straight and flush possibilities, and AA doesn't block any of it's combinations.

I think it's 65 suited that doesn't have the same suit as aces.

In the all in game preflop, 50% have any pocket pairs. If we exclude pairs, perhaps this is 56, 78, 9T suited

I'm not sure I understand why: those medium pairs are dead to two outs (or luckboxing four to a straight).

The connectors at least benefit from not having outs blocked by AA, though as ohshoot points out it's better if they're suited too.

Personally I prefer to have AA when I run into AA.

best starting hand VS AA is AA.

this is the only combo , neither sides have equity. well house takes the rake.

all other hand is under dog.

BTW: are u sure the question is not "Which hands have the best winning chance[not split pot winning] against AA?"
in that case, that hand is 65s

This is just the older pair, after the opening of the flop, everything can change very much. Personally, I do not really like AA - psychologically very sorry to throw such a card. Suited connectors with a wide range, for example 89

AA vs AA is virtually 50/50 to tie, not for either one to win. Unless you consider splitting a pot as win, but then, with rake, it's more of a loss than anything. Even if pot was even split and you win a little extra dead money, it's not exactly a win because you didn't beat the other hand, you just tied with it. I don't consider a tie a win.

Consider this: The only way AA > AA is to hit a 4 card flush. All other hands possible combinations are split and neither hand wins.

The odds of either hand flopping 3 of the same suite is 1.2%. If that happens, then that hand has ~35% chance to hit on the turn or river. This is it's best chances of winning, but there is a 98.8% chance that the flop isn't 3 of the same suit.

The odds of flopping a back door flush draw with 2 suits on the board is ~25.6%, but the odds of actually hitting the backdoor flush is 1.26%

AA doesn't beat AA 50% of the time, it splits with each other virtually 50% of the time. The odds of AA > AA is most likely only a ~2% chance for either hand.

very basic maths here

His question is " what is the best hand chance against AA"
so we calcualate Equity in the long run

my answer is AA

so you win 50% lost 50% play pot size A
equity= 50% A- 50% A= 0

so your answer 78s or 65s whatever
win 25% lost 75% play pot size A
equity 25% A- 75% A= Negative 50% A

so you thing best hand against AA is 65s/78s or my answer AA???

if you always play any size pot AAonly vs AA, in the long run, think repeat 1billion hands situation sperately ...or whatever, you lost nothing ,win nothing.- so best chance is no loss. o

if you always use 65s or 78s...hummm.....you know after 1 billion hands ...you lost incredible huge amount LOL

so still thing best hands against AA is 78s???:D:D:D So best chance is no loss in the long run, or loss a lot you choose LOL

Sorry. Forgot to that other than AA :D

I understand why suited connectors got a better chace.
Then why 65s is better than the rest? why not 45s? Cause then block the posibility of the straight more.

Yeah. I likely to never play 56s when the player with AA plays really aggressively. perhaps a flop with a 33/44BB raise. which also will depend on the situation

I think that suited connectors 9-10 or JQ are more likely.

It is not mathematical just my experience :) but i would always like some suited connectors than any other pocket pairs less than AA when i run into aces

65s have some extra board to beat AA

eg 243XY which XY is not AA
45s lack some board, because the chance to hit A23 is only 32 combo

65 hit 243 is 64 combo.

that is why 65s a little better.

Any suited connectors that doens't have an Ace as a blocker, like ppl are saying: T9, 98... till 65s.
In fact theres no best hand against pocket aces, just the less worse, but it doesnt matter, just focus on playing the best.
Just hope to not get caught with a hand like AKo or AQo against aces

Against pocket cards AA, I would prefer to have on my hands any pocket pair from 22 to KK. I think, that the chances are almost 49 to 51 in favor of AA.
