Hello everyone, so lately I have been playing .02c/.04c tables on sportsbetting.ag for some cheap experience but I feel as if I am playing the quality of people you would see on facebook poker, people will call any bet with nothing, go all in with nothing ect. Is there a general rule of thumb for stakes where you start seeing people play as they should and not as if they are using play money? Its very frustrating.

Start at the lowest stakes. Win 30 buy ins for that stake and then start taking limited shots at the next stake up. Rinse and repeat.

It shouldn't be frustrating, it should be great. You have people lining up to donate money to you. You are going to take some bad beats but if you play a solid game, you shouldn't have a problem making a profit.

firt of all this. Why would you complain about people giving you oney? 0_o I do understand that 1-3$ per hour is not national lottery kida hourly but still.
Second, the point of 2c/5c/10c... is not to make you a millionair but to improve your game + so you can play withour your heart stoping when you lose 5 buyins in an hour I mean 10$ vs 2500$... there is a differece no metter were you live.
Third, if you feel like your skill is good enought go 5c/10c....grow I mean. If youк question will there a time were there are no stupid calls, the no. You can observe the HUSNG/6maxSNG fro 500+ and you tell me if some of thous push/fold charts are a bit off for some players =)
Fourth, dont get a head of your self. Crushing nl2 for 20bb/100 is something you can do(maybe 15 for a big sample)... and 5bb/100 at nl50 is basically crushing the limit.
And to answer your quextion around nl10 people tend to play good, there is enough aggression but people also fin "fold" button, from nl10 it gets only better

At these limits, this can not be avoided! And on the higher limits are too! Try them - in their turn +! Good luck to you my friend!

Micros.

They're great for not only learning the basic fundamentals of how the game is played, but also:

-How to correctly read boards
-Work out hand odds and pot odds and their relation to each other
-How to play against different types of players. (TAG, LAG, Passive, Loose-Passive, Call Station, etc)
-Get a feel and understanding for variance
-How to get over tilt and/or control it

The fact that you're complaining about and getting frustrated over poor players means that you still have a lot to learn about the game.

you should start at the lowest cash game and/or tournament levels such as $0.01/$0.02 and $0.10 buy-in sit and go’s? Again, starting this low isn’t necessary or advised assuming you know anything at all about poker. Now if you’re mainly looking at poker as a fun recreational activity, then by all means go ahead and play the lowest limits along with freerolls. However, if you’re a semi-serious player who hopes to move up the stakes, you should play whatever limits you can afford.

Low limits are where you build your fundamentals.
Low limits are where you learn to work on tilt control.
Low limits are where you learn to improve different parts of your game.

Games will always be there. high stakes, mid stakes, low stakes... Enjoy the journey, wherever it may take you.

Start at the micros and work your way up.

Don't fall into the trap of "I need to move up where they respect my raise"

Instead of respecting your raises you'll get 3 bet light by solid higher stake players that will eat you alive.
---
Usually micro stake players play face up, so if you're getting raised and the board is dry as hell it's probably not a good sign for whatever you are holding. Pot control is your friend.

Playing at the micro-stakes is good to build his style of play, errors in these tables are not expensive but the game can not be compared with the game, where bigger stakes.

There is a very huge rake at the microlimits, so really it's a very bad idea planning to move up on limits from that place without powerful table selection. Also, strategy on small stakes (NL25-50) is very different from microstakes. So, I reccomend to start learning poker nearly from NL25-50 but on small ammount of tables and very powerful selection. Actually, it's better for your skill growth too.

I think everyone here already said it. Start low and build up. Avoid playing if you are bored as you will lose whatever base you started building on.

obviouslt low stakes but its hard because people dont respect the cash as much at those levels leaving alot of room for big swings in either sirection, for practice try play live at 1/2 table its a bit tighter and you will get good practice

Bids such as 0.02-0.04 are considered the lowest in the cash game, so there is a lot of beginners playing with a small deposit, you can expect a variety of travel, must play tight, do not rush.

Before you join the game, you can watch for a while and decide if it is the kind of action you like. If not, there are usually plenty of tables. Make note of players on multiple tables.

It depends on your discretionary funds. If it is such that you need to play freerolls and micro games, it best to do so. If funds allow you to play higher stakes I recommend it as the play is taken more seriously, and you'll learn to play a more intelligent game.

Try to learn to play on micro stakes on some cash and sngs..and then use ur knowledge when you build ur bankroll to play on higher stakes..but also remember when u are down to switch to lower stakes again..But always thinks up..if your bankroll is not comfortable increase you bankroll to be comfortable

Thanks for all the advice, sorry for the late response, I was in the middle of moving. I guess I just have to adjust to the play style of the stakes. When I said how frustrating it is playing against bad people its not that they are impossible to deal with its just annoying that it doesn't feel like your playing with real money and its a completely different style than what you would see live or at higher tables.
