Any ideas on the best format to play to improve quickly? Ultimate goal would be to be a strong mtt player. Don't find freerolls to be very useful, other than the cards chat ones. Sit and gos? Micro large field mtt?

i wanted to say reg speed helped me a lot

but i also learn more on hyper w/ those push fold charts

even spin & go which many people hate

i learn more about short handed FT situations there

so its kinda hard to single out only 1 format

well i learn a lotfrom the 0.10c 360 people, is a format that is very helpful to learn how to play small stacks, and for tournaments more deep i think cash tables are good, most people say that a good cash player win against the best in mtt

I absolutly agree with your opinion. I also learned a lot by playing hyper formats and spin&go for FT situations or late stage in SNG.
So if you need to improve your HU ability and your game at late stage, it is really worth to try these formats.
I think, the normal speed is very good for analyzing other peoples style of play,
as it gives you more time for doing so. And as the SNGs are also a kind of small tourneys, that don't consume so much time, I think it is also a good format to do some training for the larger MTTs.

Me too, last few days I mostly play this 0.10c SIT & Go's. It's not freeroll so we dont have guys doing all-in with their first hand which can even be 2/3.
I also tried some cash games, but I think I need a little more money and experience for that.

If you have a poker stars account, with their school they have tournaments with "zoom" format. With this you can play as many hands as you can. This help me to improve in these days a lot

The best option for learning might be watching how others play the game, and also playing a lot of freerolls on cardschat, and low buy-in MTTs

Micro-stakes on pokerstars helped me out the most. The competition is tough, so you really have to put some work in it.

Listen to me babe; YOU WANT TO BE MTT CHAMPION WAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAH!

No, just play cash games and you will find your discipline in gameplay is proportional to your winnings every session.

If you're on 888, try 40 seat 4 handed nitros. They're very good. I learned a lot from those and definitely improved my overall game.

I definitely do not cache the cache. I'm getting too nervous and making mistakes. Another thing is tournaments. You invested money and you know that there is no longer any need to spend it. You play calmly. If I play the tournament then in the range from 0.10 to 0.50 bain.

If your goal is to be a good MTT player then you should be playing MTTs.

I mean... I know it's stating the obvious, but it really is that simple. Play the game you want to get good at. Study it. Post hands for analysis and discussion. Work on getting better at that format of the game.

You wouldn't tell someone to work on their basketball game in order to get better at football would you?
