Hey everyone,

First post here so a little about myself. Im 28 in the USA and have played poker on and off for years. I had a great job as one of the lead guys at a fire sprinkler company and loved my job. A month or so ago i had pretty serious seizure\stroke out of the blue. Saw a dr and have been told no work or driving until further notice. The meds they have me on also drain me down pretty good but also leave me with wicked insomnia. So that being said i have nothing but time on my hands, but also of course no work = no money. So with nothing to do all day i stumbled onto my old Bovada account from a few years ago where i turned 20 dollars into about 100. I currently have 90$ and have floated between 90 and 100 the last week, mainly playing 1+10 fr SnG's and .2\.5 cash games. Ive been doing tons of online reading with all my time as well. I ofcourse cant afford to get a Hud or card catcher yet seeing no work and also cant redeposit if i bust.
So thats a bit about me and why i am trying to better my game and improve my life currently. I feel in the last few days ive spent way more time reading as much as i can rather then playing the game, Im looking for any tips\ advice to help me improve and maybe a few poker friends too.

Thanks for reading cant wait to become more involved in this community

Welcome to the forum, lot's of good information as well as friendly, helpful folks here. Have a look around & let us know what you think of the place. We have a number of free rolls on various sites, many U.S. Friendly that you can play after reaching the mimimum posting & time requirements. Not easy money, but good competition & a chance to get to know more members. We also have a league that runs on pokerstars play money tables, that gives one the opportunity to play against & with more of our members from outside the U.S., again excellent competition & a great way to meet some good players/members. How all goes well with your recovery & look forward to seeing you at the tables.

I would think play freerolls and ladder up to higher stakes of poker games.
good luck.

PS: Cardschat has decent freerolls as well.

I'm in the same situation, I win at poker cash games and SnG, but I have a nasty habit of going to the casino and playing blackjack. If there were a site with only poker with sports in USA, let me know please!
