Are there any benefits to playing more than one game at a time? I find myself on multiple sites, and playing more than one game, and sometimes I think it helps, but for the most part, I am doing well until the pressure sets in. Help me out....?

In my opinion, it confuses the brain. Although odds are probably better. You have an ok chance if you play one game. If you play 10, odds are you are probably doing better in one of the ten games. Have a speedy internet connection lol. Me, I tend to stick to three max, ideally two. I sometimes wonder, if I lose a hand, my mindset will make me lose on another game I am playing.

Generally it is preferred to play many tables to benefit from rakeback, but also after playing many hands act automatically to different situations

I tried to play different poker games at the same time. It is very difficult to switch the brain from one game to another. Combinations are different and there is a possibility of error.

Although there are many multi-table players I'm guessing studies would show that for each table you add, your ability to play optimally at every table goes down. So you can still make money by doing that, just maybe not as much as if you had fewer tables.

I think multi-tabling is a tell. Many opponents on multiple tables mostly play top 10-15% hands; I'll know to treat them differently than other players and an MTP tag goes in their notes. Unfortunately, most sites I can play on don't have a player search function to see how many tables someone is on.

I usually start with 1 or two tables, sometimes three but if I start doing well on one, I'll drop the other table(s) so I can maximize my play.

Аttention should be well targeted to the screen and you should have time to make the right decisions

If one uses programs to help keep statistics of the opponents with which it is played is a good option to play several tables at a time, because by making good decisions we can have a bigger gain than we would have playing a single table but this can Be a double-edged sword because you could also lose a good amount of our bankroll. :)

I play several tables quite often, but this is not a game. When different sites - my computer starts to slow down. Some sites take a lot of resources and I'm just tormented, and as a result I rarely get into the prize zone. I think that the cache is good for playing several tables, and tournaments are not.

3 tables max for me anything more I start having issues focusing on what's going on plus I find it tougher to follow how players at the table are playing missing out on important info sometimes

Hi SoulCracker and welcome to Cardschat. Two questions. How long have you been playing online, and at what stakes are you now playing at? For new players one table would be best, but here and there open another table and play about 30 or 45 minutes and then close one of the tables. The stakes I'm playing at is what I go by to play more or less tables. Like if I'm playing 5nl I can play more tables because there is not a lot of money at stake, but if I'm playing at 25nl, I won't play but 1 or 2 because I don't want to make some big mistake that could cost me my buyin. In other words, the more tables you play, the faster things are going to be moving and mistakes are easy to make. Like yesterday I was playing 3 tables, and on one it was my play and I thought the bet was $0.25 and it was $2.50. I hope that helps you some. GL to you

Yeah this is so distracting. can't focus and eventually lose all of them.

The first reason for multi-tabling is also the most obvious, as a way to earn more money. This comes as no surprise to anyone and is the most logical reason to play a number of tables at once.

For me, it's ideal to play two tables. It is also important that the tables are of the same limit.

The volume of hands you get multi tabling allows you to gain experience quickly. So it may cost you a bit in the short term but you will learn the game faster than single tabling.

more volume = more variance = but is more money.. warning advised only play what you can handle.. if you can't even beat 1 table, no sense playing 2

I think playing multi-tables pays off in the long run because you get to see 2X 3x 4X as many hands as you would if you were playing just one table. When you see alot of hands you get better thats just common knowledge. So i would assume that a player playing multi-tables would get better much faster than the same person playing just one table at a time. With that being said it also gives you a chance to win more $ by entering multiple games compared to just one game.

In kesh games, I play no more than two tables, but tournaments only freerolls I can and four tables to play, I've been playing different games of Hold'em from Badugi, it's very interesting to switch thinking every time from one game to another, it became easier to play in half an hour.

I prefer to play two tables max. I find it difficult to play more than two games at once. Hard to concentrate on what's going on and mistakes happen.

Calm when reaching that pressure and if you do not concentrate is better stop playing for a while if you do not lose at all

Play as many tables as you like. I think that the main thing is concentration and the absence of unnecessary pressure, this greatly hinders as I do! Maybe if you install the software, you can play and many stalls at the same time, but I have not tried it yet, I can not say anything to you unfortunately ((

It should be plainly obvious that playing many tables is better than playing 1.

There are exceptions ofcourse, like extremly important tournament or tilt, when you shouldnt play any table. But generally speaking, multitabling is better than 1 table, if not for other reason then for the fact that it saves time that you would otherwise spend playing the same hands on 1 table.

I usually play 2 games. One short handed, and one full ring. This gets me more action.
