This is the first poker book I read because he suggested it to me. Okay maybe it wasnn't quite like that but anywho that is the first one I read. I liked it.
I am starting out playing tournaments online and mostly very cheap ones except for bigger ones that I won tickets to play in them. The books I was told (suggested) to read next were some books by the author Dan Harrington. He has written books on tournament play and on cash games. I am just reading the tournament play ones and am now on the 2nd one which is Vol.2 end game play.
These have been very helpful to me too. I find that I can keep on going back and reading parts of them over again and each time I seem to keep learning more. Then when I am playing even though it feels like I am not going to remember most of the stuff I read about, it seems like stuff keeps on popping up for me. Then I get interested in going back and reading some more.
It really works. I think I have mostly just gotten lucky so far but I started out with only a $75 deposit split between two sites and today I have close to $200. Beginner's luck hee hee hee.
I sure didn't want to read the books before I started out but it was said to me that it would be like trying to take an exam at school without taking the course before it. I think it is also making my poker playing more fun because I am feeling like I know what I am doing more often now.
