IMHO, there's no real fundamental strategy for freerolls, individually. If you play them often, the obvious decision is to play tighter early, watch for the hyper aggro fish, and also take advantage of them. Then play a more solid game when they're gone. If playing them very recreationally, you may find yourself playing too tight, at one end of the spectrum, or just like them, too loose, at the other end. Basically, the more often you're playing them, the quicker you'll find the key ingredients or advantages for success in them. And regardless of how often you're playing them, remember there will always be the fish that rarely do. So, again, one of the main points, keep tight early and find that feel.
