Barrelling the turn with 8+ outs?
C-betting and standard betting can be great on any flop which has outs of 8+ in my opinion, but if you get callers, is it still worth barrelling on the turn as well?
One thing I Have noticed more often than not is that you can barrel from a c-bet on the flop, get a caller and then you're stuck as to what to do.
Let's say we're heads up
Hero has JTo
Flop comes - 982
Here we have 8 outs for the straight, as well as 6 outs for any T or Jack, so a straight out bet here would be reasonable, but if villian calls this bet, would you simply check the turn, or barrel again? Most of the time i'm checking if I haven't hit anything.
Hero has T7h
Flop comes - 9hQh2d
Here you have a flush draw, you bet out or c-bet if you were the preflop raiser, get a caller, and you're stuck to what to do on the turn. Do you barrel again?
I see myself in this spot most times when I hit the flop in a decent spot, and by checking on the turn it usually tells
my opponent "I give up".
Any advice on this? Would betting the turn with 8 or more outs be a good bet?
