I've been playing $3.30 triple ups but thinking of moving up to $7.70 triple ups. For good bankroll management do I "need" $330 to play $3.30 and $770 for $7.70 triple ups? Since they are triple ups, can I get away with depositing less?

I recently withdrew cash from ignition to take the money on a trip to Vegas and play in a few tournaments (knock on wood for that curse I heard about...). Hopefully will play well and deposit more $$ on ignition, and play some live tournaments(or cash games) locally.

Your desition is correct. you need at least 770 to management the bankroll.
Into the tournament if with re buy and addon. You must considered one entry, 3 re buy and one addon. If for example 5,50 value your Bankroll at least 550 for entry and 550 for each re buy and addon. Tour bankroll must have at least 2750.
Have fun and good luck

The more buy-ins of your limit you will have, the better.

Thank you thank you. Maybe I'll stay focused on $3.30 when I come back

I think you need at least 100 buy-ins. So, that,s correct.

Your buy-ins and add-ons for 1 tournament must be maximum 5% of your bank. If you play freezouts, you can to try bigger buy-ins) IMHO

I'm of the 5% of your bankroll rule. So, if 7.70 is 5% of your roll, go for it.

in theory should be 100 buy in but you can also play with 90 or 80 but not less than that!

What is your ROI% on the triple ups at the $3.30 level? How many games have you played? If we had those numbers, we could probably make a better determination of a safe bankroll for taking a shot at the $7.70 level. The higher your ROI% (over a significant sample size), the less of a bankroll you need.

I'm not a math wiz so I had to think about this for a second lol but I like the sound of that more than 100 buy-ins. Thank you.

Thank you. Unfortunately I didn't keep track of how many games but the story is in early July I deposited $25 just to practice and play SnGs before going to Vegas this month (maybe not the best strategy lol I but haven't played in awhile). I got down to about $7 and stopped playing for about a month. When I started playing again I won a good amount of 3.30 games and it continued the next day. I said to myself I want to run it up as much as I can before the 8th so I can cash out and get the check before I go to Vegas. So that is what I did.

I couldn't help myself and I deposited another $25 (before reading the 5% rule) to experiment. I think I won twice and lost four times the first day. Since then I've lost some sick hands and haven't won a single game... I'm talking KK to Q8s on the river with 4 people left and top 3 get a $10 satellite, AA to A8s...on the river, JJ to 88 probably on the river, and 99 in 3 games the same day to lesser or equal hands. It has been bad.

The reason I asked about ROI is that the 20 buy-in rule is really related to normal sit and gos. I am not sure what a normal winrate is for the triple ups. If it is higher than the normal sit and gos, you can get by with fewer buy ins. If it is lower, you will need a few more. If you know your ROI, I can reasonably calculate what the equivalent number of buy ins would be for this game.

Without that, I will have to assume 20-30 is reasonable, until or unless you find yourself experiencing large bankroll swings. In that case, you need more.

I would think you need slightly less (to be honest) because of the flat payouts. In the normal ones, getting 3rd place really isn't good as it doesn't give you much profit. Here being in any of the top three spots pays the same amount. As long as you are good at bubble play, there should be less variance.
