Hi everyone,

I'm trying to build my bankroll, i has made one withdraw with bank transfer, later i unfortunately loss the rest.

What is the best to do? transfer part of money to one ewallet, in case of get breack, or I need to keep my money in the poker room for more time?

What is the percentual of money, that i need do win before make withdraw? Does anyone here use any table or formula?

My last withdraw was 100 dolars, i play only low limits until I can gain more knowledge and skill, my goal is to keep 50 dollars in the room and every time I get a high prize I will transfer part to an ewallet.

I dont think it matters if your money is on a e-wallet or in a poker room. I have over 90 percent of my BR on a e-wallet, and even if I play on a few different sites I consider it as one BR.

When to cash out is hard for us to say, but you should try to avoid to cash out every time you get on a heater, espesially if that means you need to deposit. To avoid this is the reason we have a BR. My personal opinion is that you should try to increase you BR, so cashing out every time you get over $50 is not something I would do.

You can of course do what ever you want.

My 2 cents

If you don't need the money in life I would keep it on the site and keep building it up. It's nice to have the bigger bankroll when you're going through a rough period.

The only reason to withdraw would be if you needed the cash or you're afraid you might blow it on higher stakes or casino games.

I've done that before. Not a good result.

My best advice for bankroll management would be to set a limit of how hi of buyins you would play, before you get up. I know if you up the stakes as you win, it's a simple recipe to give it all back once you lose 1...set yourself up to know where you'll be if you have a HORRIBLE week

Did you mean, to establish a necessary bankroll value for the buyn that I intend to play, and decide the best to do with just what I earn beyond this amount?

If i want to play $11, maybe I need to build a bank of $1000 or more, and whatever happen will be better save some money in a ewallet? like an emergencial found, for a case of break or downswing?

I wanna build an ewallet with a half of my bankroll of the poker room, I will withdraw whatever goes beyond this.

it is better to withdraw funds, so as to keep control over the expenditure of money ... It is harder to lose them in the room ...:five:

I will only withdraw if I really need the money. Otherwise it's better for me, to keep it in the site so I will be a ble to play higer stakes. Hopefully I won't have a need to with draw until I go pro.

You took money for their own use? The ideal is not to withdraw cash, to build a comfortable bankroll for playing limits.

It's better to keep most of your Bankroll money out of poker room for many different reasons.
1) E-Wallets has better protection, than poker rooms. For example skrill has in addition to password a nice option to add Google Authenticator, which poker rooms don't have. It's a must have and i recommend to anybody who use Skrill to Opt-In it for your security.
2) It's more likely, that a poker room you play at will be closed, than online banking platform. (Make sure it's a big and known one.) Sad but true. Never forget the "Black Friday" and full tilt poker...
3) Poker Rooms coming in with different bonus offers for deposits, like "Deposit $30 and receive tickets" or "Deposit from $50 and get Re-Load bonus" and such stuff, which always sweet to get. And you better withdraw before at the right time, so you can deposit again some amount to get some extra benefits, without making it look like you overusing poker room bonus offers. (Notice: Never try to withdraw and deposit at the same day or even week. There are no poker room staff, that likes it and you are on risk to get your account or bonus blocked or in worst case funds freezed.)
4) If any reptile Hacker would aim your Bankroll as his target, it's obviously much more hard way for him to crack two passwords (your online banking and poker account) + additional security option (mentioned above), than just one password from your poker account. In addition, make sure your passwords are good and long enough. (Maybe my old Thread could help you out with some information at that point: https://www.cardschat.com/forum/com...ass-free-open-source-password-manager-333659/)

If somebody has any good reason, why it's better not to have the most money out of poker room, please tell it. Because i see none. :)

I believe that you need to establish a maximum threshold of money which are on account at the poker site. And if you feel that it's time to withdraw money, then withdraw all the money in poker is very important to be attentive to your feelings!

I have an upper limit.. let's say it's 600USD (just an example). When I reach it, I make a 50% withdraw and start again from 300USD.. until I reach 600+ again. Rinse and repeat.

Thankyou, I will pay more atention with the security and I will use an e-wallet to guard part of my bankroll.

I will use the bonus for deposits, but sometimes there's one condition that is to had not withdraw some days or months before the deposit.

Withdrawals should be based on how much you want your bankroll to be and what your hourly win rate is.

If your hourly is negative, you probably shouldn’t withdraw anything at all if you want to still play. (Because if you have a negative $/hr, and you take out money, eventually you will not have any money to play with from losses.)

Let’s say your hourly is $100/hr, based on a LARGE sample size, and you play 10 hour a week on a bankroll of $10,000. That means you make (ON AVERAGE) $4000/mo, sometimes more, sometimes less. $4000 would be an acceptable amount to withdraw each month assuming your win rate is still $100/hr.

Managing a specific amounts of buyin’s within your bankroll is key to being able to continue to play as well.

Good luck!

I think a good rule of thumb is to withdraw the amount you initially deposited once you've doubled your inital investment. That leaves you with the same initial bankroll that you felt confident enough to play with before and you don't have to worry so much about losing everything because your new bankroll is 100% profit.

The more money you have in your account, the more money you can win. If you have some sort of bill of payment that you need to pay off but don't have the money to, then I'd suggest withdrawing some to help pay for real life necessities. In the end poker is a game so there's no harm in not withdrawing.

I withdraw often. But I always leave a bit more in than last time I withdrew so my bankroll is always increasing.

I am trying to build a bankroll to move up stakes so I am not withdrawing anything for non poker use. I would transfer money to an ewallet for safe keeping if there weren't any significant transaction fees.

If I need the money really, other than that it stays on the site or in the bank. But as bekel said, I always leave more than the last time.

It will always be important to have an appropriate size of your bankroll in your poker room ... and the size can be defined according to the cash levels you play and the buy-in of the tournaments in which you register. .!

I would recommend Barry Greenstein's book Ace on the river, at least charpters about bankroll and money management. It really helped me. At the start of the year I have deposited 25HRK(about 4$) in my account on local poker room, in 6 days i have built it up to 700HRK(about 120$) so I decided to withdraw 400. Now I know that was a big mistake, i lost 300 that i have left and my hot run was ruined. This book helped me becouse now I withdraw only when I need and should. (Every good poker player becomes even better when he knows how to manage his bankroll)

So if you want to play $11 tournaments, then yeah the $1000 BR wouldn't be a bad idea. If you want to stay at those stakes, then plan on cashing out once you get to a set amount of money over a safety net that you set, while still maintaining your 100 BIs. If you want to move up in stakes at some point, maybe don't cash out and move up once you get 50-100 BIs for the next level.
It's really up to you, if you ever want to cash out, and probably depends whether you actually need the money or not, I guess.
