debating with a friend of mine so thought I'd post here. He has $50 on 4 different poker sites, which one is correct when figuring out his calculator

Use the amount on each site $50 or go by $200 which is his total combined BR

Well he can pull that 200$ when ever he wants so i guess that you count it all.

I recommend 200$ on one poker client. Less problems with payments and transferring money. Pick the best site that suits your desire and enjoy :)

My question has to do with BR Management, should he be going by how much he has on a particular site or the total amounts?

you do NOT count them together. The idea behind BRM is how often can you immediately re-buy back into the game you are playing. Cant do this if they are on different sites

If you are looking for a definitive it's all of it or only what's on each site, it really depends.

I always considered each balance on each site a separate roll. Mainly because I could not easily move the money on and off quickly.

But if funds can be moved easily I would recommend viewing it as one total roll. Also, I would not keep it all online. So basically you have the majority in an account at home. But if all he has to dedicate to only play is what is online he really has no choice but to keep it there.

With this person being in New York, I believe, then you must NOT count them together, moving money around it is not like other countries, and not like it used to be here in the good old USA. When Netteller was around here, then yes I would count them together because you could move the money from site to site in seconds, but now it can take weeks, so you can not.

If you want to preserve all 4 of the bankrolls and always be sure to have money on all 4 of the sites, then you should obviously count them separately.

If you don't care about that and just want to make money overall, then counting your bankroll as the summation of all 4 is reasonable. It will increase your chances of busting on 1 or 2 of the sites, but your overall risk should be the same as if it was all on one site.

Each bankroll is separate. That is the way I look at it. I need to manage the amount on one site autonomously.

He should be going by how much he has on a particular site, he cant count on the whole amount since is divided between various rooms, its not 200 on one acc.in one room, but its 50 on 4 different accounts and 4 different rooms, so u can see at as 4 different bankrolls in stead of 1 :D

Your friend's total combined BR is $200.

However, their BRM plan should be for each individual site's BR and not the combined BR. So, if they're following a 100x buy-in BRM plan for MTTs, then they should start with the .50 MTTs on each site. And then move up/down in stakes as on each site as the BR for that site increases/decreases.

^ This.

If he wants to move up, he should continue playing with 50$ on one site, while waiting for the others to cash out. Once they do, he can deposit the additional 150$ on the site he's still playing, and only THEN move up.

Forget the adage of having all your eggs in one basket. $200 in one site is best
